  1. I have stopped eating beef unless I know from where it originates. I don’t eat much meat or poultry, especially from chain grocery stores……..they cannot be trusted. I only eat eggs from local farms where the chickens roam free without cages, and organic, no drugs. Not only do the eggs taste better, but they last a lot longer. Same with organic milk, fruit and vegetables.
For years, I thought organic was just a sales pitch. One day, I bought some organic bananas. Instead of turning black in 3-5 days, they last a couple of weeks. Same with organic milk and cream……their shelf life is much longer. As one who doesn’t eat much, having the food last longer is the best value.
I no longer eat shrimp because of the pollution and radiation in the Pacific Ocean. Our food chain is slowly being destroyed by the Greedy Guts who don’t care what their industries do to our planet.
I have come to these conclusions over the last few years. When I got e-Coli by eating raw, pre-washed spinach out of a bag in 2006, I was sick for a month, could not hold any food at all. That is when I started paying attention and realized all those cost cutting measures were affecting our food safety. Billions for corporate enriching wars, not one cent for American food safety.
