Navy Sailor: Crew members lost control of their bowels after Fukushima radiation exposure, as skin rashes developed; “It was a real big problem” — Congress signs bill making military conduct health survey (VIDEO) (ENENews, Jan 19, 2014):

Military Times, Jan. 15, 2014: The Senate quickly passed the massive $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill Thursday evening 72-16 and sent it to the president for signature, which the White House has signaled it will approve in short order. NHK, Jan. 16, 2014: US to check sailors’ radiation risk […] The US Defense Department is to conduct a health survey of US sailors who took part in the relief efforts for the March 2011 quake and tsunami in Japan [and] report back to Congress by mid-April on the condition of the US naval servicemen who reported health problems after taking part in the relief operation.

Fox Host: I wasn’t aware sickness among Navy sailors was so widespread after Fukushima; Experts say dangerous radioactive releases to air and ocean — Tepco didn’t give U.S. radiation data for 3 to 4 days (VIDEOS) (ENENews, Dec 20, 2013):

Waterbourne Hazard Capability: Operation Tomodachi, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), 2012 Symposium (at 6:15 in): “A little bit of a hiccup along the way to be honest with you. The Tepco readings were actually 3 to 4 days before they actually gave us the readings of what the buoy markers were.”

The Challenges and Methods for Source Term Estimation, National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), 2013 Symposium: “There were some significant challenges with [Fukushima Daiichi’s] source term […] Why is this important? We have these maps like this radiation fallout map. But it turns out that this map doesn’t necessarily reflect airborne inhalation exposures, which is critical to determining who was exposed and the extent of their radiation exposure and the subsequent medical impacts they may experience.”

Japanese doctors ordered to cover up mass radiation sickness across population (Natural News, Oct 10, 2013):

A substantial number of Japanese have suddenly begun suffering nosebleeds that some reports indicate are likely tied to radiation poisoning from the damaged nuclear plants at Fukushima.

The reports are based on a series of tweets, allegedly from Japanese citizens who report the nosebleeds, along with photos of blood-soaked rags and bandages. Many of the reports are flowing through Facebook.

If true, the damaged Fukushima plant continues to wreak havoc

One site says that Japanese doctors who have been treating those afflicted by the massive radiation released when the plant was damaged by a major earthquake-caused tsunami on March 11, 2011, know that their patients have radiation sickness, but they are being prevented from discussing it publicly.

Another phenomenon, according to these online posts and reports, is that the bulk of those suffering nosebleeds are under 30 years old.
