Woman Rejects Chemo, Overcomes Ovarian Cancer With Nutrition (Natural Society, June 2, 2013):

Evita Ramparte was diagnosed with a serious case of ovarian cancer after a visit to the doctor revealed it was the concerning cause of her constant pain. Told that chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery were among her only options to ever recover, Ramparte was not convinced. After all, she had been living her whole life in ways that she was unhappy with, ‘going with the flow’ of the world and ending up as obese and unhappy.

Instead, Evita opted to use an approach centered around nutrition and lifestyle — one that she says ultimately ended up curing her cancer that doctors said could not truly be cured. She visited an alternative health professional, and began a regiment of Gerson-styled (Gerson Therapy) juicing. Radically altering her diet from her usual processed food intake of pizza and doughnuts into freshly made juice from her own home, she also began to realize what it’s like to actually feel healthy and happy. As much as I would like to recommend different varieties of seaweed (not just because of their high iodine content), I can’t.

Even before Fukushima and the Gulf oil ‘spill’ seaweed has been highly contaminated with arsenic, mercury and other heavy metals.

I also highly recommend NOT to eat any other kind of seafood as it is all heavily contaminated.

As a side note:

Exposing the iodized salt scam …

… the iodide content of iodized salt is ridiculously low,

… of which only 10% is bioavailable,

… your body needs iodine and iodide, not just potassium iodide,

… by the time the iodized salt reaches the grocery store about 50% of its iodide content has ‘vaporized’,

… store the salt another 30 days and the salt loses (about) another 50% of its iodide,

… iodized salt contains lots of aluminum,

… etc.

Don’t miss this lecture!

Ask yourself:

“Why did information on (the many benefits of) iodine disappear from medical schools and medical libraries?”

And yes, it is not just the information about the importance of iodine that disappeared from the bookshelves.

Based on 15 publications in leading scientific journals dating back to the 1960’s, the Petition explicitly warned of “increased rates of ovarian cancer resulting from frequent exposure to cosmetic grade talc.” After over a year’s delay, the Petition was rejected by Dr. John Bailey, FDA’s past Director of the Office of Cosmetics and Colors, and currently Director of the industry’s The Personal Care Products Council. Since then, the strong relation between the genital use of talc powder and ovarian cancer has been endorsed by over 40 further scientific publications. These have reported increased risks ranging from 35% to 90%. Continue reading »

Cell studies show promise for ginger as potential ovarian cancer treatmentNotice to patients: This study represents very preliminary research findings made in the laboratory. Further testing is needed before researchers know how or if ginger should play a role in the treatment of ovarian cancer. U-M researchers do not recommend taking ginger as treatment for cancer. Please talk to your oncologist before taking any dietary or herbal supplements. For more information about ovarian cancer treatment, call Cancer AnswerLine at 800-865-1125.

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ginger is known to ease nausea and control inflammation. But researchers at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center are investigating a new use for this age-old remedy: treating ovarian cancer.

In laboratory studies, researchers found ginger caused ovarian cancer cells to die. Further, the way in which the cells died suggests ginger may avoid the problem common in ovarian cancer of cells becoming resistant to standard treatments. Continue reading »
