– London: Muslim Enclave Votes to ‘Ban Trump’:

London borough – which has the highest percentage of Muslims in the UK – has voted to ban U.S. President Donald J. Trump for the area, declaring him a “bigot”.

The council has been at the centre of serious corruption scandals, including the removal of an Islamist mayor who was found guilty of bribing Muslim groups and wielding “undue spiritual influence” on Muslim voters.

The anti-Trump motion, proposed by Councillor Ohid Ahmed and Councillor Oliur Rahman, passed by a majority vote this week.

It calls for President Trump’s planned state visit to the United Kingdom to be cancelled, adding: “Should the Government still choose to go ahead with State Visit, this Council makes clear that President Trump would not be welcome in our Borough.”

Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old barmaid found dead in Finsbury Park.

Iuliana Tudos was found stabbed and with a head injury in the park on Wednesday afternoon, three days after she had last been seen.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in east London on Monday afternoon.

This London council house is worth £2.2million – but the tenants who live there pay just £90 a week.

The four bedroom Georgian property in London’s trendy Clerkenwell district could be rented out for £900 a week.

But Islington Council charge the social tenants who live there a 10th of the market rate – making it one of the UK’s most expensive council houses.

Somalian refugees Muriidi Abati, 57, and wife Maryan, 43, have lived there for 15 years with their seven children aged between eight and 23.

Speaking to The Sun, Ms Abati said: ‘We’re very lucky and grateful to have this house. It’s sad there are not enough houses for everyone.’

A STABBING by Kings Cross in London has closed major road York Way during rush hour as a man fights for his life, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.

Metropolitan Police officers raced to the scene in Islington at 7.54am after receiving reports a man had sustained a knife wound to the neck.The victim has been transported to an East London Hospital, where his injuries are being treated as life-threatening.

– Suspected East London Grooming Gang ‘Targeted Girls as Young as Thirteen’:

London police believe they have uncovered a new child sex grooming gang in East London, possibly linked to drug dealing and trafficking in the area.

The gang allegedly targeted girls “as young as 13” and operated around a McDonalds and Stratford shopping centre in Newham, with teenagers “coerced” into sexual activity, according to a police statement.

The ethnic and religious makeup of the gang and their victims is not known at this time.

So far, six arrests have been made on the 17th and 25th of November, and police are appealing to the public, as they believe there could be many more victims yet to come forward.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has reportedly called for more gender-neutral bathrooms for transgender and “non-binary” citizens in a new city plan.

According to the Guardian, Khan’s plan for London argues that more gender-neutral toilets should be built “in public spaces to help trans and non-binary people feel more comfortable.”

The “public spaces” will include commercial developments, the Guardian reports, as well as “shops, leisure facilities and large public areas that are suitable for all users, including disabled people, older people and families with young children.”

A huge fatberg, almost twice the weight of a space shuttle, has finally been dislodged from a London sewer; Thames Water is taking the opportunity to warn Londoners against tipping grease down the sink and objects such as underwear down the toilet.

A huge “fatberg” which blocked a London sewer for months was finally uprooted on Friday after a nine-week effort by engineers.

The 130-ton mass of congealed fat, oil, wet wipes and other sanitary products had been lodged in a meter-high sewer, four meters below the Whitechapel Road in east London. In the end, workers were forced to use shovels to remove the offensive mountain of waste.

LONDON (AP) — Uber will lose its license to operate in London because it may be endangering public safety and security, the local regulator said Friday, in a severe blow to a company already facing big questions over its corporate culture.

The company, which has been beset by a litany of scandals over its management style — from accusations of sexism to the illegal use of software to trick regulators — was told it was not “fit and proper” to keep operating in London, where it has 3.5 million passengers and 40,000 drivers.
