Obama Infuriates Republicans With Latest Plan To Deport Fewer Illegal Immigrants

–  Obama Infuriates Republicans With Latest Plan To Deport Fewer Illegal Immigrants (ZeroHedge, July 30, 2014):

After Eric Cantor’s shocking defeat at the hands of an unknown Tea Party member several months ago, US immigration reform was said to be all but dead, a condition which has been substantially exacerbated by recent tensions over the influx of Central American children crossing the southern US border. However, contrary to initial appeals that Obama is limited in what he can do without a cooperative Congress, the president now appears set to take his latest unilateral decision, one that is set to set republicans fuming and the ranks of future potential democrat voters soaring, when as the WSJ reports, Obama may take “broad action to scale back deportations that could include work permits for millions of people, according to lawmakers and immigration advocates who have consulted with the White House.”

Illegal Immigration And Gangs: Someday Our Cities Will Burn Because We Didn’t Protect Our Borders (Economic Collapse, July 22,  2014):

Did you know that the number of illegal immigrants that enter Texas each week is greater than the number of babies being born to citizens of that state?  The mainstream media is shining the spotlight very brightly on all of the children that are coming over, and there is a reason for that.  They are trying to tug on our heartstrings.  But there is another part of the story that you aren’t hearing much about.  By refusing to protect our borders, Barack Obama has allowed hundreds of thousands of gang members to illegally enter the United States and settle in our major cities.  In many communities, gang activity is already wildly out of control, and someday our cities will burn because of the foolishness of the federal government.

The Obama administration knows that one out of every five illegal immigrants has a criminal record.  And we are not just talking about illegal immigrants taking “upskirt photos” of women like just happened in Texas.  We are also talking about rapists, murderers, drug dealers and hardcore gang members.

Outrage Follows Report Government To Spend 50 Million On Resort For Young Illegal Immigrants

Outrage Follows Report Government To Spend $50 Million On Resort For “Young Illegal Immigrants” (ZeroHedge, July 16, 2014):

While we understand that there are many nuances in the ongoing illegal immigrant debate, and there are certainly two sides to every story, we can’t help but wonder if the US government granting a $50 million award to BCFS Health and Human Services to house “young illegal immigrants at the site of the current Palm Aire Hotel and Suites” in Weslaco, Texas is the best use of government funding. As KRGV reported, ” A center for unaccompanied minors set to open in Weslaco later this year will be the first of its kind in the nation, officials with a network of non-profits said.  A center for unaccompanied minors set to open in Weslaco later this year will be the first of its kind in the nation, officials with a network of non-profits said… Representatives with BCFS said the Palm Aire will undergo a multi-million dollar transformation.”

Perhaps the reason why the public’s attention has not only been picqued by this news, but has led to a broad wave of outrage, is that a cursory scan of the Hotel complex reveals accomodations which are inaccessible to millions of Americans, let alone “unaccompanied minor immigrants.”

BCFS has a prepared reason why it needs the funding:

Feds Run Out Of Money Fighting Illegal Immigration

Feds run out of money fighting illegal immigration (RT, July 11, 2014):

The Obama administration has called on lawmakers to approve an additional $3.7 billion in funds for border control and child health services to adequately address the flood of child migrants arriving in the US from Central America.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and US Customs and Border Protection are due to run out of funds by mid-August and mid-September, respectively, if the amount of migrants crossing the southwest US border from the likes of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador continues apace, US Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday.

Should Congress refuse to offer emergency funding, “we will have to go to a harsh form of reprogramming that will take money away from some vital homeland security programs I am sure members of this committee care a lot about,” Johnson said at a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, according to the Los Angeles Times.

At almost double the $2 billion that many had expected, The Washington Post reports that The White House will request $3.8 billion from Congress in emergency funding to deal with an influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America. Funds would be allocated to send more immigration judges to the southern border, build additional detention facilities and add border patrol agents, to help stem the recent surge of women and children from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Armed Militias Planning To Take Over US Border To Thwart Illegal Immigrants

Armed militias planning to take over US border to thwart illegal immigrants (RT, July 7, 2014):

As militias vow to protect the Texas border from illegal immigrants, Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas) said he believes the president has an ulterior motive for not moving quickly to prevent the overwhelming numbers of immigrants crossing the border.

Between January 1 and June 15, 2014, more than 52,000 unaccompanied alien children have been apprehended after crossing the Mexican border into the US, according to Customs and Border Patrol. The children are mostly from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico. Including adults, over 181,000 undocumented immigrants who are “other than Mexicans,” or OTMs, have been apprehended along the southwest border in that time period. The majority of illegal aliens are coming through the Rio Grande Valley in southwest Texas.

Medical police state at U.S. immigration camps as doctors threatened with arrest for talking about infectious disease (Natural News, July 2, 2014):

The signs of America’s plunge into police state insanity just keep coming one after another, and today a de facto medical police state has been declared in government-run immigration refugee camps where infectious disease is running wild.

Many people will not believe the statements contained in this article for the simple reason that they are not intellectually prepared to admit this is happening right now in America. However, this article is well-sourced, and readers are encouraged to approach its contents with an open mind, regardless of their current political beliefs, so they can learn the truth about just how quickly the United States of America is becoming a medical police state where stating a medical truth is now considered a criminal act.

Obama’s Illegal Alien Tidal Wave To Cost Taxpayers $Billions Annually

Obama’s Illegal alien tidal wave to cost taxpayers $billions annually (Examiner; June 19, 2014):

With many American citizens feeling helpless — and hopeless — as they watch their nation’s border security openly violated by illegal alien children — some of whom are over 18-years-old — a nonpartisan watchdog group reported on Thursday that the state of California alone spends upwards of $25 billion each year to provide human services to millions of lawbreakers.

The state’s estimated 3 million illegal aliens and their 1.1 million U.S.–born children, known as anchor babies, cost the average California household — headed by a U.S. citizen – $2,370 annually.

Detained in Washington: ‘They put me in shackles. Why? I am not a criminal’ (Guardian, April 10, 2014):

Almost 34,000 undocumented migrants are locked up in America’s vast network of detention facilities – and Tacoma is the crucible of a burgeoning protest campaign.

At first glance, there’s nothing remarkable about the brown slab of building at the end of East J Street. A long concrete rectangle with a few small windows, it blends into an industrial district of warehouses outside Tacoma, a rainy port city in Washington state.

A high fence topped with razor wire betrays its true function. Reception gives another clue: lockers for visitors to store possessions. To go further you must pass through a body scanner.

Nigel Farage Blasts ‘Bullying Brussels’, Cheers Swiss Immigration Curbs Bill (Video)

Farage Blasts “Bullying Brussels”, Cheers Swiss Immigration Curbs Bill (ZeroHedge, Feb 10, 2014):

Switzerland’s surprise decision in favor of curbing EU immigration, was greeted by UKIP’s Nigel Farage as “wonderful news for national sovereignty and freedom lovers throughout Europe.” With 50.3% of Swiss voters backing the “Stop Mass Immigration” bill proposed by right-wing populists, AFP reports that Farage (who has been outspoken over immigration and sovereignty problems in Europe) added “a wise and strong Switzerland has stood up to the bullying and threats of the unelected bureaucrats of Brussels.” As we noted previously, with the EU elections rapidly approaching non-centrist status quo parties are quickly gaining attention as ‘the protest vote’ gains traction.

Europe Stunned, Angry As Switzerland Votes To Curb Immigration

Switzerland

Europe Stunned, Angry As Switzerland Votes To Curb Immigration (ZeroHedge, Feb 9, 2014):

This wasn’t supposed to happen. At a time when the European Union, reeling from the ongoing near collapse of the Eurozone, has been preaching its key benefits – the removal of borders and the free transit of labor – moments ago Switzerland, with a tiny majority of 50.4%, voted in favor of new immigration curbs which requires the government to set an upper limit for foreigners, risking a backlash from the (utterly toothless) European Union.

In some ways this was a vote of the urban vs rural population: Voters in the cities of Zurich and Basel and cantons in western Switzerland opposed the measures, while those in rural German- speaking cantons and the Italian-speaking region of Ticino backed it, reports Bloomberg.

The problem for Europe is that the backlash against immigration was supposed to be a PIIG thing, having led to the surge of such nationalist parties as Golden Dawn in Greece, but they don’t matter as the will of the “peripheral” people is completely ignored in Europe. However, now that one of Europe’s most successful nations has opined against the free importing of labor, despite the prevalent perception that it has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of immigration, Switzerland has just left Europe’s pro-migration propaganda in shambles.

To wit, from Bloomberg:

19 Very Disturbing Facts About Illegal Immigration That Every American Should Know

19 Very Disturbing Facts About Illegal Immigration That Every American Should Know (The American Dream, Aug 9, 2013):

Should we roll out the red carpet and allow millions upon millions of thieves, rapists, gang members and drug dealers to come waltzing into this country any time they would like?  Should we broadcast a message to the rest of the world that anyone that can find a way to enter this country and somehow get to a “sanctuary city” can sign up for a plethora of welfare benefits and live a life of leisure at the expense of hard working American citizens?  Yes, those questions sound absurd, but what I have just described will essentially be official U.S. government policy if the immigration bill going through Congress becomes law.  And unfortunately, Democrats now say that they have the Republican votes that they need to get “immigration reform” through the House of Representatives.  If this amnesty bill becomes law, it will encourage even more illegal immigration and it will be one more step toward making the U.S. border essentially meaningless.

Obama: Immigration Bill To Grow The Economy By 5% – ‘That’s $1.4 Trillion Added To Our Economy Just By Fixing Our Immigration System’

Oh, sure!

And here is what ‘they’ forgot to tell you about the immigration bill:

Flashback:

Hidden In The Immigration Reform Bill: National Biometric Database Of All Adult Americans:

Oh just another eight hundred page “bipartisan” bill that nobody will read,  mainstream media will refuse to cover, and that will merely further destroy any remnants of freedom left in these United States.  Never forget the George Carlin quote on bipartisanship:

“Bipartisan usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.”

From Wired:

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

Obama doubles down on pledge that immigration bill will boost economy (The Hill, July 13, 2013):

Passage of sweeping legislation to overhaul the nation’s immigration system is a key to the nation’s fragile economic recovery, President Obama told the nation on Saturday in his weekly address.

The bill, passed by the Senate two weeks ago, would grow the economy by five percent, the president said, citing a report issued by his administration earlier in the week.

“That’s $1.4 trillion added to our economy just by fixing our immigration system,” Obama said.

U.S. Senate Passes Sweeping Immigration Bill

Senate passes sweeping immigration bill (CNN, June 28, 2013):

Washington — The U.S. Senate gave final approval Thursday to a roughly 1,200-page bill that promises to overhaul immigration laws for the first time since 1986, creating a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented residents while ratcheting up security along the Mexican border.

Senators passed the sweeping legislation — initially drafted by the four Democrats and four Republicans in the chamber’s so-called “Gang of Eight” — by a 68-32 vote.

Fourteen Republicans joined a united Democratic caucus in supporting the bill, which is backed by the White House and has the potential to become the crowning legislative achievement of President Barack Obama’s second term.

In a White House statement, Obama hailed the Senate vote as “a critical step” toward fixing what he called a broken immigration system. He labeled the measure that now goes to the Republican-controlled House a compromise, adding that “we just need Congress to finish the job.”

Hidden In The Immigration Reform Bill: National Biometric Database Of All Adult Americans

Guess What’s Hidden in the Immigration Bill? A National Biometric Database for Citizens (Liberty  Blitzkrieg, May 10, 2013):

Oh just another eight hundred page “bipartisan” bill that nobody will read,  mainstream media will refuse to cover, and that will merely further destroy any remnants of freedom left in these United States.  Never forget the George Carlin quote on bipartisanship:

“Bipartisan usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.”

From Wired:

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.

Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

“It was a compliment … They knew it was a compliment, they turned it into an insult because they’re professional hyperventilators,” the immigration hardliner said in an interview on Des Moines NBC affiliate WHO-TV, posted by a site run by the campaign of his Democratic opponent, Christie Vilsack.
