“I can confirm that the water supply used to make Guinness, as with most of south Dublin, is the public water supply coming from the Poulaphouca reservoir and we do not further filter this water.

There is a regulation (EC) No 1925/2006 on the addition of vitamins and minerals to foods which, among other things, prohibits addition of vitamins and minerals (such as fluoride) to alcoholic beverages.

The authorities are aware that most food producers in this country use the public water supply which is required by law to be fluoridated thus many food products will have fluoride from the water.

This does not amount to the addition of the mineral to the food.” Jen Gordon Diageo Consumer Relations.  Adding of flouride to water supplies has been banned throughout most EU jurisdictions.

The industrial grade chemical added to our water supply , known as Hydrofluorosilicic acid, contains not just the requisite fluoride ion, but also varying quantities of mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, aluminium and beryllium.

The Irish public have never once been informed of the side effects of fluoride. The Department of Health have admitted that over-exposure to fluoride causes dental fluorosis; a sign that the body has become saturated with fluoride.

If fluoride can do this to teeth, it raises serious concerns as to what it is doing to the rest of the body.

Nearly 200,000 Australians have been released from the medical slavery that is artificial water fluoridation thanks to a major governmental policy change. The Liberal National Party (LNP) government of the Australian state of Queensland has not only cut $14 million of funding that had previously been used for fluoridation, but has also decided to allow local councils to decide for themselves whether or not to fluoridate, a move that has already prompted the northern city of Cairns to end its water fluoridation program.

As reported by The Australian, former “One Nation” member of parliament (MP) Rosa Lee Long, who is now mayor of the north Queensland Tablelands Regional Council, successfully lobbied LNP to end a longstanding policy that compelled local communities to fluoridate without approval from local residents. The government of Queensland last year also ended a policy that required larger communities to fluoridate their water, which is similar to existing fluoridation mandates in California and elsewhere.

- Stealth Codex Alimentarius Regulations Postponed in US … For Now (Activist Post, Jan 13, 2013):

The recently shelved New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) draft guidelines proposed by the FDA has been the subject of much concern by natural health supplement manufacturers and consumers ever since the announcement was made by the agency in early 2011.

The guidelines, which were published in the Federal Register, would have clarified some definitions of terms, changed requirements for “new” supplement introduction and manufacture, and a host of other more minor, but important, tweaks in previous FDA policy.

Alex Jones, the radio host whose tussle with Piers Morgan was felt ’round the world, appeared on HuffPost Live on Friday to talk about the fallout from his interview.

For most of the chat, Jones was relatively restrained — a far cry from the high-decibel ranter who shouted at Morgan about the Second American Revolution. Towards the end, though, he regained his old spark with a tirade that truly has to be seen to be believed.

After quoting liberally (and loudly) from the famed “mad as hell” speech from “Network,” Jones began going on a wide-ranging monologue that encompassed everything from drone wars and curtailments on privacy to more boutique topics.

“Learn about the New World Order!” he said at one point. “Learn about eugenics and the cancer viruses and the vaccines! Learn about the GMO’s designed to sterilize you!”

He then held up a book called “Ecoscience,” and took his shouting to a new level. A rough transcript follows:

“THEY’VE GOT POISON IN THE WATER! POISON IN THE WATER! THIS IS A NORMAL RESPONSE TO THIS! THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD HAVE RESPONDED TO HITLER! YOU’RE IN DANGER! YOU’RE IN DANGER! Pulaski, New York may be a small town of just 2,400 residents, but it has now added itself to the list of more than 130 communities across the country that have banned the addition of fluoride to their water supply.

While not all fluoride is bad, the type that has been promoted by dentistry and added to our water and food supply beginning in the 1940s certainly is. Calcium fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral, while its synthetic counterpart, sodium fluoride (silicofluoride), is an industrial-grade hazardous waste material made during the production of fertilizer. Its past history includes patented use as rat poison and insecticide. There are many blind- and double-blind studies that show sodium fluoride has a cumulative effect on the human body leading to allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, bone weakening, cancer, and neurological problems, while actually damaging tooth enamel if consumed in high enough quantities. The chart below illustrates that dental fluorosis rates have only risen over the 60 years since its addition to dental products, food and water.

As people have become more aware of the dangers of the toxic effects of excessive fluoride exposure, activist pressure has forced its removal in many locations. However, in the case of Pulaski, NY, it was was not due to public outrage; it was a well-informed water board chaired by Mike Sacco who voted to pull the plug on exposing the community to fluoride’s harmful effects.
