We’ve had a total of eight mini-ice ages during the last 11,500 years (the Holocene), says Jan Theart. At least seven of these were triggered by low solar activity.
But look at how many of of those years were warmer than today! It was far warmer during both the Holocene Climate Optimum and the Roman Climate Optimum.
Anyone who tells you that our recent episode of warming was “unprecedented” is either lying or misinformed.

28,504 Low Max Records were set in last 365 days according to the NOAA.
A “Low Max” means that the maximum temperatures for the day was the lowest it has ever been.
This indicates daytime cooling.
Only 13205 High Max records were set. That is over a 2:1 ratio. Brrr.

The Antarctic ice sheet is more unstable than first thought with a new study suggesting melting began 5,000 years earlier than previously believed.
The study in May revealed that shrinking of the vast ice sheet accelerated during eight distinct periods between 20,000 and 9,000 years ago causing a rapid sea level rise.
During one period 14,600 years ago, melting glaciers released so many icebergs into the ocean that sea level rose 6.5ft (2 metres) in just 100 years.
The results provide the first clear evidence for dramatic melting in Antarctic’s and reflect predictions for the region’s future.
It also follows recent news that destabilisation of part of the West Antarctic ice sheet has already begun and could be ‘unstoppable.’

However, I do Not believe that this is due to global warming.
