... and there are ‘1,946 known lethal radioactive isotopes’ created by atomic reactors.

As a side note:

If you give rats a LD1 (Lethal dose killing 1% of the rats) of mercury … 1% of the rats will die.

If you give rats a LD1 (Lethal dose killing 1% of the rats) of lead … 1% of the rats will die.

How many rats will die if you give them a LD1 of mercury AND a LD1 of lead?

Take a guess!

Answer: ALL OF THEM!!!

Again, there are ‘1,946 known lethal radioactive isotopes’ from Fukushima.

How will they affect us?

Take a guess!

The Radiation is the vulture, we are the near death child. There is no way out.

Sterilize the Planet (Veterans Today, April 19, 2013):

All are Included – No Exceptions

(San Francisco) – The March 11, 2011 explosion of four reactors and wrecking of two more reactors at Fukushima Daiichi, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan is an on-going Extinction Level Event for all creatures on Earth, including all Humans. Now, two years and one month later, hot radioactive particles (RadParticles) still are spewing.

The RadParticles have to stop going up over there before they stop coming down over here. Saying it is pretty simple, making it happen is not. The radiation is so intense in the reactor buildings it kills humans in seven minutes, robots are dead in two hours.

Many governmental, institutional and private speakers use the radioactive element Cesium 137 (Cs137) as the amount of radioactivity in the air, land and sea today.

That is only partially true. Cs137 is merely one of 1,946 known lethal radioactive isotopes created by atomic bombs and atomic reactors when detonated or operated properly and “by the book.”

That is exactly what atomic reactors are supposed to do, make 1,946 isotopes! The heat to make steam is simply a by-product.  This is a nasty nuclear process and cannot be stopped or reversed.

Dr Paolo Scampa, a physicist in the European Union, recently stated “The Cs137 radioactivity [Fukushima Daiichi] is about 6,89E18 Bq and around 2100 kg. This activity represents a potential internal radiotoxicity of 6,61 billion Lethal Doses by inhalation and 17,91 billion Lethal Doses (LD) by ingestion.” [End Quote.]

That’s just the amount of Cesium137′s Lethal Doses from three reactor core storage pits! Much of this is in the Earth’s air, soil and water now. What’s more, the lethality level of the  Fukushima reactors’ burning radioactive aerosols and gases irrevocably goes up for the next 350 years.

That’s 17.91 Billion Lethal Doses (by Ingestion) chasing the 7.3 Billion of us on the Planet now and there are 1,946 known radioactive killer isotopic poisons in this list. The odds are definitely not in our favor.

It only takes one of these little poisonous, invisible devils each, to maim and kill us all.

There is much more radioactive poison in the other four 40 ft (12.19 mt) deep temporary reactor core holding pits and charging out of the six trashed reactors.

Three hundred and fifty years from now (from 2013) is about 14 generations, or the year 2363. Worse still, after 350 years of increased lethality, the Radiotoxicity Level does not decline, it just levels off. We, and all our kind, will simply be dead and gone – finished. Truly, the affair at Fukushima is an Extinction Level Event.

Only the Earth will remain, sterilized by nuclear radiation, speeding through space – barren and sterile, or well on its the way to ending this chapter. Let it be known as the Era of the Stupids.   Continue reading »

Scientists Detect Plutonium From Fukushima In Lithuania

Officials: ‘Hot’ materials with 7 billion Bq/kg of cesium found 15 km from Fukushima plant — “Most likely” came from Unit 3 — Over 7,500 Bq/kg of Plutonium and Americium (PHOTOS) (ENENews, Feb 14, 2014):

Follow-up to: Asahi: Highly radioactive ‘mystery objects’ found — Rumored to be pieces of Fukushima reactor buildings — 15 kilometers from nuclear plant (PHOTOS)

EXSKF, Feb. 13, 2014: […] four small pieces of debris found at the river mouth in Naraha-machi 15 kilometers from the plant may have come from Reactor 3. […] TEPCO disclosed the result of the analysis of the debris done by Japan Atomic Energy Agency […] TEPCO and JAEA’s conclusion [is that] small pieces of debris came from Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, most likely from the Reactor 3 building […] There will be no further analysis whether there is any contribution from MOX fuel […]

Selected radionuclides detected in Sample 3:

  • Plutonium-238, 239, 240 + Am-241 = 7,675 Bq/kg
  • Cesium-134, 137 = 7.3 billion Bq/kg

“A very alarmingly high number” — Magazine: Fukushima released up to 100,000 times more cesium-137 in surface ocean waters than Chernobyl or nuclear weapons testing (PHOTO) (ENENews, Nov 21, 2013):

Oceanus Magazine, May 2013: Prior to Fukushima, however, the levels of cesium-137 off the coast of Japan, as cataloged by Michio Aoyama at the Meteorological Research Institute in Japan and others, were among the world’s lowest, at around 2 becquerels per cubic meter (1 becquerel, or Bq, equals one radioactive decay event per second). Against this background, the concentrations measured in early April of 2011 were all the more alarming. […] The amount of cesium-137 radioisotopes from the Fukushima disaster in surface ocean waters was 10,000 to 100,000 times greater than amounts that entered the ocean from the Chernobyl accident or atmospheric nuclear weapons tests.

Ken Buesseler, Senior scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, March 11, 2013: I’ve had to use this crazy tall and logarithmic scale to get the range of concentrations […] how much cesium was in the ocean off Japan. Each red point is a sampling by an individual taken in, actually released by TEPCO. A little complicated to find the data but they were openly released and I translated them to the right units and made some corrections. Each red dot will tell me how much radioactivity was at that point along the coast on a given date. So they start out here around 10,000, the very first measurements that were made, peaking up here, up to 50 million [becquerels per cubic meter]. That’s a very alarmingly high number […]

10 million Bq of cesium-134/137 is still released every single hour from reactor1, 2 and 3 (Fukushima Diary,Dec 27, 2012):

According to mid/long term roadmap of Tepco released on 12/27/2012, 10 million Bq of cesium-134/137 is still released from reactor 1, 2 and 3 every single hour.

This is measured at the top part of each reactor building. The amount is computed from the dust density of Cs-134/137, other nuclides are excluded.

Since this April, the releasing amount has been stably around 10 million Bq / hour. Continue reading »

Fukushima: Radiation, Politics and Public Relations (Veterans Today, Nov 11, 2012):

by Leuren Moret, Dr. Majia Nadesan and Jim Fetzer (with Major William Fox)

On Friday, 30 March 2012, Dr. Majia Nadesan and Leuren Moret appeared as the featured guests on “The Real Deal” hosted by Jim Fetzer to discuss the radiation effects of the Fukushima disaster and the fashion in which it has been covered up both by the Japanese and by the American governments. Nadesan, PhD., a professor of communication in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University, has studied Fukushima extensively.  Moret is an independent geoscientist who has done expert studies on the Fukushima disaster, radiation problems around the world including depleted uranium.  What they had to tell us smacks of politics and public relations and is profoundly disturbing.  This is Part I of the original interview, which can be heard here:

Introduction by Major William Fox

NOTE: I invited Major William Fox (former USMCR commissioned officer), who was instrumental in arranging this interview to prepare an introduction. His key point is that the first line of defense to handle any major crisis is accurate information. Tragically, not only has accurate information been deliberately withheld from Americans regarding the Fukushima crisis, but they have also been steadily fed disinformation.  He continues:

Dr. Majia Nadesan reports in the interview below that on 16 December  2011, The Wall Street Journal wrote that the total radiation dispersed over a broad swath of northern Japan was 15% of what was released from Chernobyl. In contrast, the summary report of the RSMC [Regional Specialized Meteorological Center] Beijing on the Fukushima nuclear accident emergency stated that the total amount of radiation released from Fukushima in the first five days was equal to Chernobyl. In addition, scientists found radio-Xenon levels in the Pacific Northwest at 450,000 times average concentration levels in the weeks following Fukushima — not to mention other dangerous concentrations of radio-nuclides well beyond what any Western Europe countries ever experienced following Chernobyl.

Then we learn from Dr. Nadesan that, “…People in the Pacific Northwest actually inhaled between five and ten hot particles a day in the first month of the disaster — it could take 20 years for cancer to develop or it could take ten years or thirty years. But the significance is that the Western Press in the United States and in Europe as well as in Japan has trivialized the amount of radiation released by using terms like `no acute effects’, `no immediate health effect’…” Dr. Nadesan also comments:

“…If you look at the recently released NRC transcripts, they were projecting the dose to the thyroid of a one year old child, and they had different calculations. But one of their calculations was a thyroid dose of 30 millisieverts just from iodine to the thyroid of a one year old child annualized. And 30 millisieverts is a lot of radiation… clearly there was no effort to make any kind of recommendations to the public to keep their kids inside or to stop drinking milk or dairy, which was found in the wake of Chernobyl to be the primary vector by which small children were exposed to iodine is through milk. And that’s disturbing.”

Rendering of Hanford’s Double-Shell Tanks (DOE image)

What’s Inside The Suspect Nuclear Waste Tank At Hanford? (Forbes, Aug 27, 2012):

When news broke last week that radioactive material had been found outside of the inner containment wall of a double-hulled tank at the nuclear waste cleanup site in Hanford, Wa, most reports characterized the contents of the tank as “radioactive waste.”But that’s more a category than a description.

The Energy Department has been eager to find out exactly what’s in the tank, which received wastes from leaky single-walled tanks and from more than a half dozen facilities at the Hanford site, including nuclear reactors, plutonium processing plants, a PUREX plant, and laboratories.

DOE funded many studies to analyze the chemical compounds in the tank, determine whether they could corrode the stainless-steel walls, and to anticipate the effects of a spill. Here’s some of what those studies found: Continue reading »

Dr Busby describes measurements made on an airconditing unit filter from inside an apartment in central Tokyo. This was sent by a lady in Tokyo who wanted to know if it was safe to live there. The filter only collected air from inside the apartment. It shows the presence of 130000Bq/kg radioCaesium in the dust plus enriched Uranium and for the first time Lead-210/Polonium-210. The apartment was evacuated from the Tuesday after the catastrophe and the machine switched off; and the family returned 5 months later. This and much other information about the health effects and cover ups, including leaked data are to be found in Dr Busby’s new book in Japanese: the Horror of Fukushima, published on 25th July by Kodansha in Tokyo.

2,566,720Bq/㎡ in Edogawa ku Tokyo (Fukushima Diary, May 1, 2012):

Following up this article..Tokyo is contaminated as the worst place in Chernobyl

39,488 Bq/Kg of cesium (134 + 137) was measured in Edogawa ku in Tokyo. It equals to 2,566,720Bq/㎡.

In the secondary evacuation area in Belarus, it was 555,000 ~ 1,480,000 Bq/m2 of cesium 137.

Even if you consider the data of Tokyo includes cesium 134, still it can be near the maximum limit of the secondary evacuation area in Belarus.

Dr. Helen Caldicott (Co-Founder Of Physicians For Social Responsibility): What We Learned From Fukushima (Video – April 2, 2012):

Dr. Helen Caldicott: If Spent Fuel Pool No. 4 collapses I am evacuating my family from Boston.

Few people know that the Pacific Northwest got whacked hard by fallout from the Fukushima disaster with radiation rates hundreds of thousands of times higher than normal background radiation.

The damage from this is not something that the corporate media or the government is talking about.  It mysteriously disappeared from the radar almost immediately.

More info on reactor 4 SFP here:

Independent And Government Experts Say Reactor 4 SFP Is A Grave Concern: 460 Tons Of Nuclear Fuel Could Overheat, Explode and Release Massive Amounts Of Radiation (((Finishing Off Japan)))

Fukushima Daiichi Site: Cesium-137 is 200 times greater than at Chernobyl Accident (April 3, 2012):

Japan’s former Ambassador to Switzerland, Mr. Mitsuhei Murata, was invited to speak at the Public Hearing of the Budgetary Committee of the House of Councilors on March 22, 2012, on the Fukushima nuclear power plants accident. Before the Committee, Ambassador Murata strongly stated that if the crippled building of reactor unit 4—with 1,535 fuel rods in the spent fuel pool 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground—collapses, not only will it cause a shutdown of all six reactors but will also affect the common spent fuel pool containing 6,375 fuel rods, located some 50 meters from reactor 4. In both cases the radioactive rods are not protected by a containment vessel; dangerously, they are open to the air. This would certainly cause a global catastrophe like we have never before experienced. He stressed that the responsibility of Japan to the rest of the world is immeasurable. Such a catastrophe would affect us all for centuries. Ambassador Murata informed us that the total numbers of the spent fuel rods at the Fukushima Daiichi site excluding the rods in the pressure vessel is 11,421 (396+615+566+1,535+994+940+6375).

I asked top spent-fuel pools expert Mr. Robert Alvarez, former Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary for National Security and the Environment at the U.S. Department of Energy, for an explanation of the potential impact of the 11,421 rods.

I received an astounding response from Mr. Alvarez:

It is my understanding that of the 1,532 spent fuel assemblies in reactor No. 4, 304 assemblies are fresh and unirradiated. This then leaves 1,231 irradiated spent fuel rods in pool No. 4.  Based on U.S. Energy Department data, assuming a total of 11,138 spent fuel assemblies are being stored at the Dai-Ichi site spent they contain roughly 982 million curies of intermediate and long-lived radionuclides. I used a higher estimate that Chernobyl released about 2.5 million curies in my earlier estimate regarding pool No. 4.  It appears that there is roughly 393 million curies of Cesium-137 contained in the total spent fuel inventory at the Dai-Ichi site. This is more than 200 times the amount of Cs-137 released at the Chernobyl accident as estimated by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the U.S. National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP). This is 145% more than the total NCRP estimate of Cs-137 released by all atmospheric nuclear weapons testing, Chernobyl, and world-wide reprocessing plants ( ~270 million curies or 1.0E+18 bequerels).

Many of our readers might find it difficult to appreciate the actual meaning of the figure, yet we can grasp what 200 times more Cesium-137 than the Chernobyl would mean. It would destroy the world environment and our civilization. This is not rocket science, nor does it connect to the pugilistic debate over nuclear power plants. This is an issue of human survival.

The damage from this is not something that the corporate media or the government is talking about.  It mysteriously disappeared from the radar almost immediately.

Dr. Caldicott referred to this as a process of “cover-up and psychic numbing.”  Looks like it may be working.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission just approved two new nuclear power plants this week (4/2/12) in South Carolina in addition to the two approved earlier this year in Georgia.

Dr. Caldicott talks about the dangers and hidden costs of nuclear power then tells the awful truth in minute detail about the actual scale of the Fukushima disaster and compares it to the nuclear disasters of Chernobyl and Three Mile Island.

Recent studies estimated that a million people have died so far from Chernobyl.

Dr. Helen Caldicott is a physician, Nobel Peace Prize winner, noted author, anti-nuclear power advocate and has founded numerous national and international groups which oppose nuclear power & weapons, including Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Over 1 Million Bq/kg of Radioactive Cesium from the Mysterious Black Dust in Minami Soma City (EX-SKF, Feb. 15, 2012):

Minami Soma City assemblyman Koichi Ooyama discloses the result of the test of the mysterious black dust found in locations in Minami Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture.

A blogger whom I featured before, “Night that never ends”, has been measuring radiation on the strange, black dust he finds in many locations in Minami Soma City, mostly on the road surface. His geiger counter (Inspector) measures all alpha, beta, gamma radiations and x-ray, and his measurement on the surface of this black dust was 295 microsieverts/hour.

Assemblyman Ooyama apparently sent the sample to Professor Tomoya Yamauchi of Kobe University. Professor Yamauchi did the test, and here’s the result, from Assemblyman Ooyama’s blog:

Cs-134: 485,252 Bq/kg
Cs-137: 604,360 Bq/kg

TOTAL: 1,089,612 Bq/Kg

Converting the total number to Bq/square meter,

1,089,612 × 65 = 70,824,780 Bq/m2

“Night that never ends” says in his blog this substance is very light-weight and blows off easily. He is finding it all over Minami Soma. He has asked the construction workers if it is from asphalt used in roads. The workers say no. To see the image of this black dust, go here.

91,600 Bq/Kg of Radioactive Cesium from Sunflowers in Iitate-mura, Fukushima (EX-SKF, Feb. 14, 2012):

So the sunflowers DID concentrate radioactive cesium in soil. It was not where the Japanese government wanted you to find.

According to one Iitate-mura villager, Mr. Itoh, who had his sunflowers tested, the radioactive cesium was IN THE ROOTS. He suspects that the government knew, and cherry-picked the data that seemingly supported the foregone conclusion that sunflowers do not work in decontaminating the soil.

Why? Because the government wants and needs to distribute big money to big businesses that closely work with the government in the “decontamination” bubble that they’ve created.

From his tweets on February 7, 2012:

#Fukushima I Nuke Plant: 230 Tonnes of Leaked Water Is Rather “Hot” (EX-SKF, Dec. 18, 2011):

I forgot to update the news of 230-tonne leak at Fukushima I Nuke Plant but toward the end of TEPCO’s press conference on December 18, the initial result of the nuclide analysis came in, and the number was rather high.

  • The trench water: 4200 becquerels/cubic centimeter (or 4.2 million becquerels/liter)
  • The water dripping from electrical duct: 0.13 becquerels/cubic centimeter (or 130 becquerels/liter)

No news yet on other nuclides, though Asahi Shinbun says cesium-137 was 5400 becquerels/cubic centimeter. If that’s the case, the cesium total would be 9600 becquerels/cubic centimeter of 9.6 million becquerels/liter. It is not as radioactive as the untreated, contaminated water (which is about 100 times as radioactive than this trench water), but still high for a plant that has achieved a “cold shutdown”.

New Video of Scientist Kaltofen Presenting to American Public Health Association from Fairewinds Associates on Vimeo.

A professional video of Marco Kaltofen’s presentation to the American Public Health Association was recently made available to Fairewinds. Kaltofen states that hot particles are contaminating portions of northern Japan. He also states that auto air filters from Fukushima, that he tested in his Massachusetts laboratory, are so radioactive that they have to be disposed of in a buried radioactive waste disposal site in the US. Additionally, he expresses concerns for the mechanics who work on cars in Fukushima Prefecture. Continue reading »

Silent Death – Horror Scenario Awaits Japan (The Low-Level Radiation Myth Exposed)

Dr. Helen Caldicott (Co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility):

The Propaganda From The Government And The Nuclear Industry About Low-Level Radiation Is Absolute Rubbish:

You’ve bought the propaganda from the nuclear industry. They say it’s low-level radiation. That’s absolute rubbish. If you inhale a millionth of a gram of plutonium, the surrounding cells receive a very, very high dose. Most die within that area, because it’s an alpha emitter. The cells on the periphery remain viable. They mutate, and the regulatory genes are damaged. Years later, that person develops cancer. Now, that’s true for radioactive iodine, that goes to the thyroid; cesium-137, that goes to the brain and muscles; strontium-90 goes to bone, causing bone cancer and leukemia. It’s imperative that you understand internal emitters and radiation, and it’s not low level to the cells that are exposed. Radiobiology is imperative to understand these days.”

There is a lot more information on the effects of low-level radiation below (Scroll down until: ‘There are no safe levels of radiation:’)

Documentary of 51 mn of Wladimir Tchertkoff (2003). In June 2001 in Kiev, the nuclear based experts of the IAEA and WHO maintain that the catastrophe of Tchernobyl made only 31 died “approximately”…

Professor Yury Bandazhevsky:

Former director of the Medical Institute in Gomel (Belarus), is a scientist working on sanitary consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. He was the first to create an institute in Belarus, in 1989, specially dedicated to scientific work on the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. In 1978 he married Galina Bandazhevskaja, a medical doctor specialized in pediatrics.

Fukushima fallout: Japanese company recalls powdered baby milk after detecting high levels of radioactive cesium (Natural News, Dec. 8, 2011):

The disastrous effects of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear catastrophe are still emerging nearly a year after the fact, as a popular Japanese baby formula company has now announced a massive recall of baby food tainted with radiation. Meiji Holdings Co., maker of Meiji Step infant powder (Meiji Step is only sold in Japan) is recalling 400,000 cans of the product because of contamination with radioactive cesium.

Radioactive Strontium Found in Central Tokyo (EX-SKF, Nov. 21, 2011):

(UPDATE-2) Asahi Shinbun carried the news:

(UPDATE) So far, it is dead silence from the Japanese MSMs; even the critical papers like Tokyo Shinbun is mum on strontium in Tokyo.

A citizen group did the soil survey of three locations in central Tokyo, and had the soil samples tested for radioactive cesium and strontium. All three had both.

Summary of reporting by Yasumi Iwakami, independent journalist:

Locations and amounts of radioactive materials:
Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station, Koto-ku:
Radioactive cesium (134 and 137 combined): 19,126 Bq/kg
Radioactive strontium (89 and 90 combined): 44 Bq/kg

Yurakucho Station, Chiyoda-ku:
Radioactive cesium (134 and 137 combined): 20,955 Bq/kg
Radioactive strontium (89 and 90 combined): 51 Bq/kg

Front of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Chiyoda-ku:
Radioactive cesium (134 and 137 combined): 48,176 Bq/kg
Radioactive strontium (89 and 90 combined): 48 Bq/kg

It’s a poetic justice that the amount of radioactive cesium is the highest at METI. I hear TEPCO’s headquarter building in Tokyo also enjoys rather high radiation.

Fukushima fallout fears over Japan farms (BBC News, Nov. 15, 2011)

New research has found that radioactive material in parts of north-eastern Japan exceeds levels considered safe for farming.

The findings provide the first comprehensive estimates of contamination across Japan following the nuclear accident in 2011.

Food production is likely to be affected, the researchers suggest.

From the article:

Does that mean that NOW 25 years after Chernobyl those people are getting seriously ill who were back then exposed to low-level radiation?

Yes, indeed. Those who have been adults back then survived 25 years and are NOW getting sick. We call it the silent death. Those who have been children back then got sick a lot earlier – often times with fatal consequences.

How do I have to imagine life in those contaminated areas?

Life? Above all there is death, silent death, mainly cancer. People die of all sorts of diseases related to Strontium, affecting for example the heart muscle, whose energy becomes dysfunctional. We have studies from Belarus documenting that already 2-year-old to 4-year-old children die of acute heart failure. It does not have to be cancer. The people die of kidney and liver failure and all kinds of blood diseases, also known as ‘Chernobyl AIDS’.

Now compare that to what the Japanese people are being told  by their elite puppet government:

NHK Calls 20 Millisieverts/Year ‘Low-Level Radiation’ & The Lies Of Minister Goshi Hosono

Dörte Siedentopf is a member of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), which is a non-partisan federation of national medical groups in 63 countries, representing tens of thousands of doctors, medical students, other health workers, and concerned citizens who share the common goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world freed from the threat of nuclear annihilation. The organization’s headquarters is in Somerville, Massachusetts.

English summary by Fukushima Diary’s Mochizuki at the end of this article.

France’s IRSN New Estimate on Amount of Cesium-137 into the Pacific Ocean: 27,100 Terabequerels, or 20 Times TEPCO’s Estimate (EX-SKF, October 27, 2011):

From Jiji Tsushin (10/28/2011):

On October 27, the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN, Institut de Radioprotection et de Surete Nucleaire) of France announced its research report in which the researchers estimated the total amount of radioactive cesium-137 leaked from Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean was 27,100 terrabecquerels from March 21 to mid July. The IRSN estimate is 20 times as much as the estimate announced in June by TEPCO.
