At least two high profile members of the Alternative for Germany Party (AfD), including a regional party chairman, have been attacked this week by left-wing extremists.

On Tuesday the AfD group chairman in Rhineland-Palatinate Uwe Junge was wounded in the face by one of a group of four far-left extremists on a public sidewalk. This attack follows the assault of another prominent AfD member on the same day, reports German paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

The populist Alternative for Germany party (AfD) has proposed that Germany should detain and house migrants without passports in separate accommodation, a proposal that has been met with sharp criticism from the establishment.

Members of the party in the Saxony region have brought forth the idea, but the policy has been slammed by critics on the German establishment left who view the policy as inhumane reports Die Welt.

In the Saxony-Anhalt region, the AfD had one of their strongest electoral showings earlier this year in the regional elections. AFD politician Uwe Wurlitzer, himself a member of the Saxony parliament, said that the group wanted a “separate quartering of all asylum seekers with unclear identities” noting that there are severe security issues with letting in migrants with unknown origins.

(REUTERS) – The head of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) says Berlin should send rejected asylum seekers and illegal immigrants to islands outside Europe and turn its refugee office into an emigration bureau.

The influx of over one million migrants last year fuelled support for the AfD, which now has seats in eight of Germany’s 16 state assemblies and is expected to make a strong showing in state votes next month in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Party leader Frauke Petry made the suggestions in an interview with the Bild newspaper published on Saturday.

BELEAGUERED Angela Merkel is facing calls for a referendum to free German people of “EU slavery” in the wake of Britain’s sensational decision to cut ties with Brussels.

Far right figures in Alternative for Germany have promised to call their own vote if they clutch power in country’s general election in autumn next year.

A party spokesman branded Brussels a “bureaucracy monster”, before adding: “Next year the AfD will enter the German parliament and Dexit will be top on our agenda”.

They called the vote a Dexit as it stands for a Deutschland exit from the EU.

When a bill campaigning for gender diversity was proposed by a leftist German party, a conservative politician responded hilariously, taking two minutes to address anyone who might be listening – and using some 60 gender identifiers.

Alternative for Germany (AfD) politician Steffen Königer arrived at the Brandenburg parliament to speak on a bill introduced by the Green Party which would “campaign for acceptance of gender and sexual diversity, self-determination, and against homo- and trans-phobia” in the city of Brandenburg. It would also “give equal rights and societal equality for LGBTTQQ [lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans, two-spirit, queer, questioning] people in Brandenburg.”

Königer began his address on the proposal in the most normal of ways.

“Dear Mr. President, ladies and gentlemen…” Königer said at the podium.

However, it soon became obvious that his introduction was a little out of the ordinary.

We recently pointed out that Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) party was gaining significant popularity as the anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim tide continued to rise in Germany. We then noted that everyone in the establishment will be shocked when the AfD’s polling numbers started to climb higher.

We expect much more such back and forth between the “left” and the “right”, which just like in the US, will ultimately benefit the object the media has decided to target for ridicule, until – just like in Austria – Germany’s establishment is shocked when the AfD’s polling skyrockets in the coming months and leads to drastic changes in Germany’s political landscape.

The people repeatedly shouted “traitor”, “leftist rat”, “get out!”, “we are the people” and “Maas must go!”, eventually getting him to cancel his speech and flee to his armored Mercedes escorted by his armed bodyguards.

Maas is considered one of the biggest proponents of expanding censorship laws, demanding persecution, fines and jail-time for everybody posting “hate speech” on social media. Recently his party suffered a devastating loss in polls across the country, losing to the Alternative for Germany (AfD) by a landslide in the last state election of Saxony, where he held his speech.

– 400 arrested in Stuttgart, protesters clash with police outside AfD party congress (VIDEOS):

Police have made around 400 arrests as clashes broke outside the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party conference in Stuttgart. During their congress, the right-wing populist movement wants to adopt a clear anti-Islam stance, when its manifesto is presented.

A large number of demonstrators had gathered outside the building where the congress was to be held and several hundred protesters were trying to block access to those trying to attend the party conference.

The violence started at around 06:00 local time and continued for around four hours.
