FAA Warns That Mystery Military Tests May Cause Widespread GPS Disruptions

FAA Warns That Mystery Military Tests May Cause Widespread GPS Disruptions:

Starting June 7th, and continuing for the next month, the FAA has warned airplane pilots that GPS signals on the West Coast, and especially over California and Nevada, may be impacted.

The reason why is not exactly clear, but as Gizmodo notes, the US military will be testing a device or devices that will potentially jam GPS signals for six hours each day. Officially the tests were announced by the FAA but are centered near the US Navy’s largest installation in the Mojave Desert, China Lake, located “just down the road” from Area 51. The Navy has kept silent about the nature of the tests.

As Gizmodo adds, the FAA issued an advisory warning pilots on Saturday that global positioning systems (GPS) could be unreliable during six different days this month, primarily in the Southwestern United States. On June 7, 9, 21, 23, 28, and 30th the GPS interference testing will be taking place between 9:30am and 3:30pm Pacific time. But if you’re on the ground, you probably won’t notice interference.

Beijing to build 10,000ft deep underwater lab in South China Sea

Beijing to build 10,000ft deep underwater lab in South China Sea:

China plans to continue to develop the South China Sea. This time, Beijing has set a goal to build an oceanic ‘space station’, as deep as 3,000 meters underwater, Bloomberg reports, quoting a Science Ministry presentation.

If successful, this will be the first project for long-term human habitation at such depths.

“Having this kind of long-term inhabited station has not been attempted this deep, but it is certainly possible. Manned submersibles have gone to those depths for almost 50 years. The challenge is operating it for months at a time,” Bryan Clark from the Washington-based Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments told Bloomberg.

The US Is Preparing to Oust President Evo Morales

The US Is Preparing to Oust President Evo Morales:

US intelligence agencies have ramped up their operations intended to remove Bolivian President Evo Morales from office. All options are on the table, including assassination. Barack Obama, who sees the weakening of Latin America’s “hostile bloc of populist states” as one of his administration’s foreign-policy victories, intends to buoy this success before stepping down.

Washington also feels under the gun in Bolivia because of China’s successful expansion in the country. Morales is steadily strengthening his financial, economic, trade, and military relationship with Beijing. Chinese businesses in La Paz are thriving – making investments and loans and taking part in projects to secure a key position for Bolivia in the modernization of the continent’s transportation industry. In the next 10 years, thanks to Bolivia’s plentiful gas reserves, that country will become the energy hub of South America. Evo Morales sees his country’s development as his top priority, and the Chinese, unlike the Americans, have always viewed Bolivia as an ally and partner in a relationship that eschews double standards.

Syrian Forces Sever Main Daesh Route Into Turkey – Turkey commanding Daesh near Syria’s Aleppo: Russia

Turkey commanding Daesh near Syria’s Aleppo: Russia:

Russia says Turkey’s military advisers are commanding Daesh terrorists operating around Syria’s northwestern city of Aleppo, which has been the scene of fierce fighting over the past few weeks.

Syrian Forces Sever Main Daesh Route Into Turkey:

In the fight against Daesh, also known as IS/Islamic State, Syrian forces have cut off a major road that the terrorists group used to access Turkey.

The Syrian city of Manbij has been a stronghold for Daesh in the region along the Turkish border. On Thursday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) encircled the city, effectively cutting off supply roads.

“We have reached the road that links Manbij and Aleppo, from the west,” said Sharfan Darwish, a spokesman for the Manbij Military Council.

AND NOW: Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble: “Isolation Is What Would Ruin Us – It Would Lead Us Into Incest”

Will closing borders drive Germans to incest?:

“Isolation is what would ruin us – it would lead us into incest,” the finance minister told Die Zeit, doing a good imitation of a doomsday preacher.

The comments were meant as a resolute defence of his government’s migration policies, against the hostile attitudes of many Germans towards the Muslim faith practised by many migrants who move to Germany.

“Muslims are an enrichment of our openness and our diversity,” he continued. “Look at the third generation of Turks, especially the women. That is an enormous innovation potential.”

Vermont Governor Signs Sweeping Privacy Law, Hinders Several Federal Surveillance Programs

Vermont Governor Signs Sweeping Privacy Law, Hinders Several Federal Surveillance Programs:

Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin has signed a sweeping bill that establishes robust privacy protections in the state into law. It not only limits warrantless surveillance and helps ensure electronic privacy in Vermont, it will also hinder several federal surveillance programs that rely on cooperation and data from state and local law enforcement.

The new law bans warrantless use of stingray devices to track the location of phones and sweep up electronic communications, restricts the use of drones for surveillance by police, and generally prohibits law enforcement officers from obtaining electronic data from service providers without a warrant or a judicially issued subpoena.

Eleven German MPs of Turkish descent, who voted for recognition of the Armenian genocide, have reportedly received a travel warning from the German Foreign Ministry. They were told not to visit Turkey – or face safety risks there.

Labour “anti-Semitism” witch hunt claims new victims

Labour “anti-Semitism” witch hunt claims new victims:

The “anti-Semitism” witch hunt in the UK Labour Party against leftist supporters of Palestinian rights is continuing to claim new victims.

The latest is Marlene Ellis, a Black activist within the Momentum grouping, who was suspended on Friday. Ellis told The Electronic Intifada her suspension was an attack on free speech.

But campaigners have scored the first win in pushing back.

A Jewish activist expelled from the Labour Party for referring to the transatlantic slave trade as an “African holocaust” was cleared of anti-Semitism and readmitted to the party at the end of May.

Jackie Walker told The Electronic Intifada on Monday she had yet to receive an explanation for her suspension.

Canada’s Pro-Israel Lobby Attempts to Shut Down “Peaceful Pressure” against Israel’s Systematic Violations of International Law

Canada’s Pro-Israel Lobby Attempts to Shut Down “Peaceful Pressure” against Israel’s Systematic Violations of International Law:

The latest attempt of the Zionist lobby in Canada to shut down attempts to organize peaceful pressure against the state of Israel’s systematic violations of international law came at what must have seemed an opportune moment. On May 17, the day that Bill 202, “the Standing Up Against Anti-Semitism Act, 2016: An Act respecting participation in boycotts and and other anti-Semitic actions”, was presented to the Ontario provincial legislature in Toronto and quickly passed first reading, Ontario Premier Katherine Wynne was in Israel, where she warmly shook the hand of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Wynne was reported as stating during that five-day visit that “any movement like the BDS [Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions] movement that is based on anti-Semitism, that is based on division and promotes hatred, is just unacceptable.”1 Although at the same time Wynne also declared herself a supporter of free speech, the proponents of Bill 202, former Conservative Party leader Tim Hudak, Liberal Party deputy speaker of the House Mike Colle, and Avi Benlolo, the President and CEO of Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies, who drafted it with them,2 may have hoped that it could be rushed through the House without significant opposition: the bill was scheduled for second and third readings on May 19 and 20.

Hillary Clinton now paying trolls to attack people online

KING: Hillary Clinton now paying trolls to attack people online:

Many moons ago, David Brock, now the head of a Hillary Clinton Super PAC, used every resource available to ruin the life of Anita Hill and anyone who supported her. He would lie, cheat, and blatantly misrepresent facts if it meant getting Clarence Thomas through the Supreme Court nomination process.

Brock openly admitted it.

Now, it appears Brock, who is no doubt great at what he does, is using his same old tools, but for a new cause in a new technological era.

As head of the Correct The Record Super PAC for Hillary Clinton, David Brock has launched something called Barrier Breakers — an online mob of paid trolls designed to attack any and every person who says one cross word about Hillary Clinton on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, or elsewhere.

Russia slaps Israel in the face

Russia slaps Israel in the face:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s recent visit to Moscow and his negotiations with President Putin, for the fourth time this year, has created the impression of failure. Russia and Israel have been developing active cooperation recently in the field of culture, trade and customs and  education.

However, Netanyahu’s visit to Moscow does look like a failure from the point of view of foreign policy. In an official statement for the press, President Putin spoke about “open” and “constructive” nature of the talks with the Israeli PM. In the diplomatic world, though, when negotiations are held in a friendly and even neutral fashion, they usually say that the talks were held “in a friendly atmosphere.” This is something that we have not heard from the Kremlin this time. In other words, there is no understanding between Russian and Israeli leaders.

Nearly 70 years on, disappearance of 1,000 children in Israel remains a mystery:

Twenty years ago, Haaretz ran a series of reports about the disappearance hundreds of Mizrahi infants, most from Yemenite families, during Israel’s early years. Were they kidnapped and put up for adoption? Had they died and been buried without their parents’ knowledge? Or is there a third possibility?

Farage Threatens To “Destroy The Old EU” As Marc Faber Says Brexit “Best Thing In British History”

Farage Threatens To “Destroy The Old EU” As Marc Faber Says Brexit “Best Thing In British History”:

The European Union is an “empire that is hugely bureaucratic,” warns Marc Faber, telling CNBC that he thinks that “a Brexit would be bullish for global economic growth,” because “it would give other countries incentive to leave the badly organized EU.” The Gloom, Boom & Doom-er explained that Brexit is a risk Britain should be willing to take, and that it would not be a disaster, “on the contrary, it would be the best thing for Britain that would ever happen!” Rubbing further salt into the wounds of Europe’s establishment, outspoken pro-Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage exclaimed that he said he would “destroy the old EU”, together with 5-Star leader Beppe Grillo.

Larry Kudlow: ‘Overthrow the Establishment’ to Fix the Economy

Larry Kudlow: ‘Overthrow the Establishment’ to Fix the Economy:

Newsmax Finance Insider Larry Kudlow is fed up with the way global central banks have been trying to revive the economy.

Nothing they have done has worked. So there’s really only one option left, he told CNBC.

“Overthrow the establishment. Now’s the time,” said the CNBC senior contributor who also hosts a syndicated radio-talk show. “Overthrow the establishment,” urged Kudlow, who was a former economic adviser to President Ronald Reagan.

“We need a different model. In other words, zero interest rates, or negative interest rates, and tons and tons of government spending for all these G-7 countries have not worked,” he said.
