A video showing a new set of tests of the cutting-edge hypersonic Kinzhal missile has been released by the Russian Defense Ministry. President Vladimir Putin earlier said the weapon is designed to penetrate any possible defenses.

The footage features a pair of MiG-31 aircraft carrying a single Kinzhal on its under-fuselage pylons. The planes take off and launch the ‘Kinzhal’ (Russian for “dagger”) missiles during high-altitude flight.

The video shows the very moment of the missile launch. The projectile can be seen detaching from the plane’s belly, shooting off the engine shroud and swiftly blasting away, leaving only a trail in the skies.

The new missile is currently undergoing tests and the pilots involved are getting a grip of the cutting-edge munition during their routine service, Col. Valery Antsibor, deputy commander of Russia’s main test-piloting center, said. Tests of this nature also help the ground crews and all other military personnel involved to get familiar with the new missiles.

The new weapon was unveiled on March 1 by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, with a range of other new arms, which include a nuclear-powered drone submarine, a combat laser system and even a nuclear-powered cruise missile of “unlimited range.”

The ‘Kinzhal’ missile has an effective range of 2,000km and can travel 10 times faster than the speed of sound. The munition is highly maneuverable and can reliably penetrate all the existing and even prospected air-defense systems, according to Russia’s President. The Kinzhal can be fitted with nuclear or conventional warheads.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange lashed out at the UK government over Twitter on Friday after Britain’s official UN account (UK Mission to the United Nations) tweeted “A free and independent media fulfils a vital role in holding the powerful to account and giving a voice to the powerless,” with a link to a puff piece waxing eloquent over the UK’s commitment to free speech.

Assange – apparently not included in the UK’s definition of “free and independent media” (facing arrest and detention should he leave the Embassy), fired off a stunning reply – claiming that the UK’s has spent roughly twice as much spying on him as it has on their entire international human rights program.

“And that is exactly why you have detained me without charge for eight years in violation of two UN rulings and spent over 20 million pounds spying on me you hypocritical mother fuckers. Your entire international human rights programme is £10.6m you pathetic frauds.”

Assange then followed up with “Remember how I exposed your secret deal to put Saudi Arabia on the Human Rights Council?” referring to a 2015 vote-trading deal in which the UK approached Saudi Arabia in secret, promising it a seat on the UN Human Rights Council in exchange for council support.

A week after initial excerpts of Megan Kelly’s interview Russian President Vladimir Putin were released, the Russian presidential office published the full transcript of the full interview on its website on Saturday morning, specifying the conversation took place in two seatings, in the Kremlin on March 1 and in Kaliningrad on March 2.

As we noted last week from the initial excerpts, despite Mueller’s 37-page indictment, Putin said he has seen no evidence thus far that the alleged meddling broke any laws.

“We in Russia cannot prosecute anyone as long as they have not violated Russian law… At least send us a piece of paper… Give us a document. Give us an official request. And we’ll take a look at it.”

– New Study Links Glyphosate to Shortened Pregnancy Lengths in American Women:

A new peer-reviewed study published in Environmental Health on Friday has linked glyphosate levels with shortened pregnancy lengths, in the first ever study of glyphosate exposure in pregnant women in the U.S.. This study adds to the pressure on regulatory authorities to take action on the world’s most used herbicide.

This unique study was performed by scientists from the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health, the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Indiana University School of Medicine.

The study conclusion states: “This is the first study of GLY [glyphosate] exposure in US pregnant women using urine specimens as a direct measure of exposure. We found that >90% of pregnant women had detectable GLY [glyphosate] levels and that these levels correlated significantly with shortened pregnancy lengths.”

In 2016 glyphosate was reported to be found in the urine of 93% of the American public during a unique testing project – The Detox Project – that started in 2015. The expert UCSF laboratory involved in testing for the Detox Project was also the lead laboratory for this latest study.

The thing is, the organs are sourced not from other humans, but from animals.

A report published recently in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology‘s MIT Technology Review brought the topic up for discussion. Harald Ott, a surgeon from the Harvard Medical School, is said to be spearheading the refurbished animal organ revolution. The report states that someday, people who need transplants may view Ott’s methods as the standard solution for all of their problems.

Putin’s specialist military cadet schools for girls are set to get a major boost – teaching youngsters with frilly white bows in their hair to handle rifles and grenades.

Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu wants to expand the country’s special cadet schools for girls, and aims to open one in Crimea, the Black Sea peninsula his forces annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

Vladimir Putin’s youth army, a separate organisation for boys and girls, has grown massively to 192,500 members since it was founded in May 2016.

Critics say both groups are a sign of increased militarisation in Russia and have likened them to the Hitler Youth.

Spiro Haddad is a Christian refugee who returned to Syria from Austria. In an interview with a German TV broadcaster in Syria, he tells how his life was in danger in Austria and why he made the decision to return.

Haddad says he reached Austria by spending €3,000 on smugglers. At first he wanted to stay there, but he changed his mind after he saw how many refugees pledged to terrorist groups like Al-Nusra and ISIS.

As a Christian he didn’t feel safe among them in Austria and he had to keep his faith a secret or it could cost him his life. Haddad says extremists wanted to change churches into mosques and he had to talk like them to survive.

After he contacted the Austrian authorities about it, they didn’t take him seriously. That was the moment he decided to leave and now he lives in Syria again.

Haddad warns Europe and says “it’s not good that Europe is open to all”. “ISIS and Al-Nusra want to destroy everything, even with you. If you do not understand that, I’m pessimistic for the future of Europe,” he says.

The teacher, along with three other men, was convicted of kidnapping and violence against a minor by the Pontoise criminal court on Friday, French media report. The shocking incident occurred last April, when the boy showed up at his Arabic class at the Sablon mosque, in the municipality of Sarcelles, north off Paris.

Peter Newell, who shares a name with the illustrator of Alice in Wonderland, is a convicted paedophile. In this article we shall attempt to follow the warren-like network of his connections to the Children’s Rights Movement. The results are shocking and, likely, far from complete; for the links are everywhere.

Peter Newell pled guilty on 2nd January to two charges of serious sexual assault between May 1966 and May 1968, and to three charges of indecent assault committed between May 1965 and May 1968. He was jailed for six years and eight months. The case was reported in the mainstream press; well, some of the mainstream press:

Quite a variety of headlines, although only the Daily Mail headline really gets at the significance of the case. This was not just another in the long and depressing line of paedophiles convicted decades after their offending began. This was a key individual in the Children’s Rights Movement, and his work has shaped both the legislation and the culture currently arrayed against the traditional family. Let us look more closely.
