Brits “Appalled, Disgusted” At Brexit Postal Ballot ‘Fraud’

Brits “Appalled, Disgusted” At Brexit Postal Ballot ‘Fraud’:

“I am appalled by it. It should be neutral,” exclaimed one angry Brit after seeing that Brexit voters are being sent postal ballots with a guide that strongly suggests they should vote for Britain to remain in the European Union.

The “How to vote by post” forms were sent out last week…

And, as The Telegraph reports, this has prompted furious complaints from anti-EU campaigners, as the step-by-step guide includes advice to “read the instructions carefully, then complete your ballot paper” above an image showing a pencil in a hand ticking a box to “remain a member of the European Union.”

“When i first saw these instructions I was disgusted… The Electoral Commission should never have allowed this to be sent.”

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: There Has Been A Coup In Brazil

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during President Reagan’s first term. He was Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal. He has held numerous academic appointments, including the William E. Simon Chair, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Georgetown University, and Senior Research Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University.

There Has Been A Coup In Brazil — Paul Craig Roberts:

In Brazil the country’s largest newspaper has published a transcript of a secret recording leaked to the newspaper. The words recorded are the plot by the rich Brazilian elite, involving both the US-corrupted Brazilian military and Supreme Court, to remove the democratically elected president of Brazil under false charges in order to stop the investigations of the corrupt elites who inhabit Brazil’s senate and bring to an end Brazil’s membership in BRICS. The Russian-Chinese attempt to organize an economic bloc independent of Washington has now lost 20% of its membership.

Democracy has been overthrown in Brazil as in Ukraine, Honduras—indeed, everywhere the dirty evil hand of Washington falls, including the US itself.

Mongolia: The Dzud Kills More Than One Million Animals

The slow and deadly dzud in Mongolia:

So far this year, more than one million animals have been killed by the dzud. The word conjures up an image of a mythical monster, but it is a peculiar weather phenomenon and the fear of herders on the Mongolian steppes, as journalist Helen Wright reports.

The piles of dead, frozen sheep and goats lie stacked against the rocks, just out of sight.

They are victims of the dzud, an unseen and brutal natural disaster unique to Mongolia where a summer drought combines with a harsh winter and vast numbers of livestock die from either starvation or cold.

The last dzud in 2010 killed eight million animals. It is thought to descend in five-yearly cycles and each time it wreaks havoc.

“We are trying so hard to keep them alive,” 50-year-old herder Bayankhand Myagmar says, talking about her dead sheep and goats. “But nothing we do is working.”

In Mongolia it hasn’t rained since last July and this winter temperatures dropped to as low as -50C for days on end. Snowfall covered up to 60% of the country and fell heavier than usual.

Here’s What the Government Doesn’t Want You to Remember on Memorial Day

Here’s What the Government Doesn’t Want You to Remember on Memorial Day:

(MINTPRESS)Austin, TX — Every Memorial Day, American leaders make passionate speeches about their love and admiration for the sacrifices made by the country’s brave military veterans.

“There’s no phrase U.S. politicians love more than ‘support the troops,’” journalist Abby Martin declared on a recent episode of her show, “The Empire Files.”

Yet, as Martin noted, “A dark hidden history shows that [politicians are] no friend to service members, but rather their greatest enemy. An easy way to prove this is to look at how quickly they abandon their soldiers after ruining their lives, even after using them as literal lab rats.”

The Pentagon would only describe it as an “advise and assist operation to help Kurdish Peshmerga forces.” It is noteworthy that the troops warned reporters present not to take pictures, after similar pictures emerged of US troops embedded with Syrian Kurdish forces, sparking a row with Turkey.

New Poll Shows Only 4% of Americans Trust Congress

New Poll Shows Only 4% of Americans Trust Congress:

The US system, which is nothing like the Republic it used to be, continues to degrade in the eyes of Americans.

That’s what this poll tells us.

Only 4 percent of Americans have “a great deal of confidence” in the US Congress.

Only 15 percent have a lot of confidence in the executive branch.

Only 24 percent have a great deal of confidence in the Supreme Court

The only part of the US government that citizens seem optimistic about is the US military. Some 56 percent have “a great deal of confidence” in the military.
