Putin Warns Of Risk Of Major Conflict, Says Dollar Losing Reserve Currency Status (ZeroHedge, Oct 24, 2014):

Having been relatively quiet for a while, Russia’s leader Vladimir, speaking in Sochi (following meetings with Middle East crown princes who confirmed Russia as a key partner – “isolated”?), has unleashed his most aggressive statements with regard the failing world order:

  • *PUTIN SAYS U.S. DOLLAR LOSING TRUST AS RESERVE CURRENCY
  • *PUTIN: WORLD WITHOUT RULES IS POSSIBILITY; ANARCHY GROWING

Adding that the risk of major conflicts involving major countries is growing, as well as the risk of arms control treaties being violated, Putin exclaimed that the US-led unipolar world is like a dictatorship over other countries and that “US leadership brings no good for others,” and calls for a new global consensus.

Having met Crown Prince Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi in Sochi, who confirmed that Moscow “plays a very important role in the Middle East,” and added that he had no doubts that his country and Russia “are bound by a privileged relationship,” it appears Russia is less “isolated” than the West would have many believe.

As Bloomberg reports:

Escalation? It seems sabre-rattling is picking up as The Washington Times reports,

Russian military provocations have increased so much over the seven months since Moscow annexed Crimea from Ukraine that Washington and its allies are scrambling defense assets on a nearly daily basis in response to air, sea and land incursions by Vladimir Putin’s forces.

Not only is Moscow continuing to foment unrest in Eastern Ukraine, U.S. officials and regional security experts say Russian fighter jets are testing U.S. reaction times over Alaska and Japan’s ability to scramble planes over its northern islands — all while haunting Sweden’s navy and antagonizing Estonia’s tiny national security force.

“What’s going on is a radical escalation of aggressive Russian muscle flexing and posturing designed to demonstrate that Russia is no longer a defeated power of the Cold War era,” says Ariel Cohen, who heads the Center for Energy, National Resources and Geopolitics at the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security in Washington.

“The more we retreat, the more we are encouraging Russia to behave in a more aggressive way,” Mr. Cohen said. “We need to be engaging more deeply with our Central Asian allies, but instead we are in the process of abandoning turf to Russia, and it’s wrong — it’s against our interests geopolitically to let Russia feel that they all of a sudden have won all the turf without firing a shot.”

  1. He is right, and he is one who should know. Russia and China borrowed the idea from Hugo Chavez’s South American Trade Alliance and the first electronic currency, the Sucre. Chavez had this tiny organization, so small as to fly under US radar. The SATA members were allowed to trade with each other using their own currencies, leaving the dollar out. The Sucre translated the value of each currency at the time of transaction, making need for any world reserve currency obsolete. This was Spring of 2010. At that time, the entire world used the dollar to complete their transactions with other countries.

Russia and China set up an identical system between each other, and China went on to recruit Turkey, Iran, much of Africa, much of Central and South America. They created the basket of currencies, and member nations all can trade with each other, leaving out the dollar. Japan and India joined after another round of sanctions, and the US gave Japan a pass……whatever that is.

Today, 67% of the world nations do not use the dollar, 33% do. The EU is keeping the dollar afloat. When they go down, so goes the dollar.

Putin should know, he built an entire world economy around the US and EU, isolating them from the rest of world trade……..I have watched this since it’s inception in 2010.

What disturbs me the most is that our leaders are so lazy, so corrupt, they ignored this, and now, it is too late. The dollar is about finished. When the EU members start moving over to Putin, it will cause the dollar (printed excessively) to collapse. The status of the dollar was abused, and the US became the world bully. It was but a matter of time before the world found a way around the US.

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa set up their organization as BRICS. They also set up a large fund of E100 billion to loan money to smaller nations who wanted freedom from US financial domination. They are doing what the US used to do, buy allies instead of making threats.

Australia and New Zealand dumped the dollar last year. Switzerland was the latest nation to join BRICS. So, Putin should know. Putin is the closest to a Napoleon I have seen in my lifetime, and he has won the world without firing a single shot.

Sure wish he were on our side.

  2. Just scanning HBO channels, they are running a special show (to be shown 14X over the next week) exposing “Hunted: The War on Gays in Russia” Now, lets blame Putin for hating gays.

These clowns will sink to any level.
The US was just the same in 1980, I remember. This is really crap.
Two HBO channels (4 if you including ones that are not HD) are running and running this rubbish.
They run Bill Maher all week. I used to like him before he became a shill for Obama and all things democrat party. Now, I cannot abide him.
If they are down to this, they are in trouble. HBO is expensive, and many households don’t have it. I don’t know why I have it…..oh, yes, the Rome series was on and I wanted to record it……..the rise of Augustus. Not good historically, but good showmanship.

Going after Putin for avoiding gays and their issues is so low, I don’t know where to start. Americans the same way 30 years ago, and people need to leave Russia alone. Putin understands the views of his people better than we do, and majority does rule in these matters.

We are an empire in decline, Russia is replacing us. Harsh, but true. Thank the fools in power and the bigger fools who elected them. Now, elections no longer matter. I am getting robot calls from overseas, these clowns are so arrogant, they don’t care I know they get overseas money……something all Americans should be against with every fiber of their being.

  3. One more thing, and this point shows how far behind the ball the US has become.
Saber rattling? No, Putin is not saber rattling, he simply is stating the truth.
The real world war was economic, started in November of 2010 when China and Russia established a trade agreement with each other, using their own currencies, leaving the dollar out. They adopted the same model Hugo Chavez used with the Sucre, the first electronic currency. The Sucre, (or its copy) simply translated the value of each currency at time of transaction, making any need for a world reserve currency obsolete.
When Obama took office in 2008, the world waited and hoped that he would restore the America they respected, investigate, charge and punish the people who had caused a world economic collapse. By 2010, they saw he would do nothing, so the world started moving away from the US. Respect once lost, is lost.

Once Russia and China established their trade agreement, they went on to recruit much of the world that was tired of US lies and growing aggression. Attacking nations that had done nothing to warrant it, endless publishing of dollars that were supposedly representing the entire world trade organization, and the incredible corruption on every level. Many emerging African, South and Central American nations joined the organization that would introduce itself as BRICS.

After more mindless and stupid rounds of sanctions on Iran, Japan and India joined BRICS. Obama gave Japan a pass……whatever that means…….and the exodus from the dollar continued.

Australia and New Zealand dumped the dollar last year. I don’t know if they went with BRICS or not, but they are no longer using the dollar. Switzerland was the latest state to join BRICS.

In less than 4 years, the US now has 33% of the world trade organization using the dollar. 67% have abandoned the dollar……the US had 100% in January of 2010.

The real world war has been economic, and the US is on the losing side. So much so, they are having HBO run a hate Russia series on how they persecute the gays.

The US in 1980 was no different, and it is none of anyone’s business. This story is being played 14X over the next week, and more in the weeks to follow. It is so pathetic, it turns my stomach. The US has lost the game, and they were late to the table. The arrogance and folly of our fool leaders disgusts me beyond words.

Americans slept too long, and let idiots take over this country. Now, we cannot get rid of them, our republic has been hijacked, and they are so stupid, they cannot see beyond their own greed and pockets.

The new way of fighting war is economic, and the US found out too late.
Bombs are too permanent, fighting has moved to the next level….financial.
Since the US destroyed the world economy, it is ironic the US has been destroyed by the same disease……..greed and more…….money, _____________(fill in the blank).
