I repeat … “200 TRILLION Bq/Kg found near Tokyo”!!!
Flashback:
More info down below.
Presentation by Yasuhito Igarashi of Japan’s Meteorological Research Institute at IAEA’s expert meeting (pdf), Characteristics of Spherical Cs-Bearing Particles Collected during the Early Stage of FDNPP Accident, February 2014: […] We have found spherical Cs-bearing particles (Cs-ball) from HV filter samples collected during Mar. 14-15, 2011, when the first radioactive plume arrived from the FDNPP accident at the MRI [Meteorological Research Institute] as well as Univ. Tsukuba, Japan. […] experiments showed that the Cs-ball occupied major part in the Mar. 14-15 Fukushima plume. They would persist for a long time in the environment as well as in living organisms. […] the investigation on radioactive aerosol during the second plume arrival gave no such Cs-ball. […] The finding should be a key to understand the processes of the FDNPP accident, to accurately evaluate the health and environmental impacts and to improve efficiency of the decontamination of the polluted area. […] Further studies are recommended for the present Cs-ball in more detail!
- Particle 5 — C, O, Na, Cl, Fe, Zn, Rb, Sn, Cs: 0.2 TBq/g (200 trillion Bq/kg)
- Zn (zirconium): From fuel rods
- Fe (iron): From reactor vessels
- Additional research on spherical particles: Nuclear fuel found 15 miles from Tokyo suburbs — Fukushima uranium in ‘glassy’ spheres transported over 170 km
Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group) — Emission of spherical cesium-bearing particles from an early stage of the Fukushima nuclear accident, Aug. 30, 2013: The Fukushima nuclear accident released radioactive materials into the environment over the entire Northern Hemisphere […] Although the accident has global impacts, we still do not know exactly what happened in the reactors […] The chemical and physical properties of the radioactive materials released into the environment are not well known. Such knowledge is necessary to improve the numerical models to estimate the geographical distributions and evaluate the human exposures […] released radioactive material […] was spread globally […] The spherical Cs-bearing particles likely have longer retention times on the land surface than those of the water-soluble Cs particles. The retention time of the particles in the soil or other environments needs to be reconsidered. The health effects of the particles should be evaluated […]

Everybody should have evacuated Tokyo a long time ago.

We are facing our own extinction, yet most run from this vital truth. Intelligent people will seek to find ways to die before the radiation gets too bad.
I live on the west coast. I am already experiencing burning of the throat and breathing tubes. I can already feel its effects. Only fools will stay alive to die from radioactive poisoning……but there will be a lot who will because they won’t face the truth.
I wonder if denial caused the fall of the great empires of the past……when I was at Tikal, it was an amazing experience. An entire village over 5000 years old had been preserved in the jungle. It was discovered by accident by a 19th century explorer. Everything is there, the homes of the workers, the temple, very similar to Egyptian pyramids, but more squared. It has steps people could climb to the temple above. People think they must have communicated to create such a similar village.
It was so amazing. Mayans were there doing some ceremony with a bonfire in the center of the square…..much as they did 5000 years ago. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
What happened to them? We don’t know, any more than we know about the 0 kingdom, old kingdom, middle kingdom, of ancient Egypt.
Are we going to follow? I wonder what we have built beside Rushmore that will survive the ages. We are facing our own demise, and fools run around as if there is nothing wrong. Media continues the blackout on the story, regardless of the total irresponsibility of such behavior.
Great story. Thanks for publishing it.
Looking at the article again, the call to evacuate Tokyo…..what about the west coast? The Pacific Ocean? Not one word. Seems the depopulation folks have some points…..looks like mass extinction.
What I don’t get is who would want to live in a post nuclear world? No animals, no birds, no bees, no people beyond those taken underground to live……I wonder how they will wage wars then?
I’m glad I won’t be here to see it.
Hot particles cannot be dissolved, damage cannot be reversed. Here is the link.

Unfortunately Gov will hide the thyroid cancer epidemic on West Coast as it won’t be politically correct to frighten the populace.
I would have cleared off to Prince Edward Island by now, Marilyn. But then again, being brought up at the same latitude as Anchorage, snow & cold (or as they say here…”Snur & curled”} are the way of life.
To Squodgy: From what I have been reading, the world’s atmosphere is all connected, and there are no places to go in order to escape. The scientist who moved her entire family to drought ridden Australia from Boston in order to escape the radioactive particles does so in vain. There is nothing the northern part gets that does also affect the south.
There are reasons over 60% of the population of the world lives in the northern hemisphere…..it is nicer here.
But, of all the species that have lived on this planet, 98% are now extinct. Given those statistics, it isn’t surprising we are going to follow.
Nuclear power was tapped into by man……splitting the atom is something Einstein ought to have kept secret. Of all men, he ought to have known how brutish and foolish most men can be……..he came to the US from Germany…..he saw how mindless mankind can be first hand.
Letting that information out to the so-called scientific world was a grave error. Perhaps if he had read more history, he would have known better.
Such skills were left for alchemy for that reason…..most men are not reliable or responsible enough to be entrusted such secrets. Splitting the atom ought to have been hidden, look what it has wrought.
What do the damn Japanese do? They continue to burn huge amounts of waste in regular fires fully aware that only puts it into the air twice. If they are not trying to kill us, what are they doing?
Man is essentially mindless, such behavior is beyond stupid.
