US ‘Kidnaps’ Russian MP’s Son To ‘Exchange Him For Snowden’

We have Obama’s NDAA & assassination program …

… and that means that we all have no more rights, …

… until we change that.

Basta!

US ‘kidnaps’ Russian MP’s son to ‘exchange him for Snowden’ (RT, July 8, 2014):

A Russian MP claims the US kidnapped his son from the Maldives on bogus cyber-fraud charges and may be preparing to offer him as bait in a swap deal for Edward Snowden.

Roman Seleznyov, 30, was arrested at Male international airport as he was about to board a flight to Moscow. He was forced by US secret service agents to board a private plane to Guam and was later arrested. The Russian ministry slammed his detention as “a de-facto kidnapping.”

Moscow considers the kidnapping “a new hostile move by Washington,” and accused the US of ignoring proper procedure in dealing with foreign nationals suspected of crimes.

“The same happened to Viktor Bout and Konstantin Yaroshenko, who were forced to go to the US from third countries and convicted on dubious charges.”

In an interview to RT Russian MP Valery Seleznyov, Roman’s father pointed to the illegality of the US kidnap.

“For all I know they may be demanding a ransom tomorrow. Or try to exchange him for [NSA whistleblower Edward] Snowden or somebody. One can only wonder.”

He cannot contact his son and claims American authorities are denying Roman his rights.

“They took him to Guam because American law is not fully applicable there,” the lawmaker explained.

The MP said that his son has scant computer skills and could not be involved in any sort of hacking.

The US Department of Justice and US Secret Service announced Monday that Roman Seleznyov was indicted on charges including identity theft, bank fraud, illegally accessing information on protected computers and trafficking in unauthorized access devices.

He is charged with stealing and selling US citizens’ credit card data between 2009 and 2011 and may face up to 30 years in prison if found guilty.

Seleznyov appeared in court on Monday, and will be held in custody until his next hearing in two weeks.

“This important arrest sends a clear message: despite the increasingly borderless nature of transitional organized crime, the long arm of justice – and this Department – will continue to disrupt and dismantle sophisticated criminal organizations,” Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security, said in a statement.

The Secret Service called Seleznyov “one of the world’s most prolific traffickers of stolen financial information.”

The Russian’s “scheme involved multiple network intrusions and data thefts for illicit financial gain,” said the director of the Secret Service, Julia Pierson. “The adverse impact this individual and other transnational organized criminal groups have on our nation’s financial infrastructure is significant and should not be underestimated.”

It is not the first time Mr Seleznyov has been in the news – he was injured in a 2011 bomb blast in Marrakech, Morocco.

The US has a record of taking drastic steps when it wants people held in custody. The methods may vary from the widely-criticized practice of “extraordinary rendition,” or the blatant kidnappings of terror suspects during the Bush era, to putting pressure on foreign governments to allow American agents a free hand on their soil.

  1. What kind of evil government do we have?
This is the worst I have ever seen, and convinces me now is the time to step off the ride. I don’t want to live in such a world. This man was swept to power with the most powerful mandate in my lifetime. He violated every one of them, including those who gave him the Nobel Peace Prize…..out of hope……….and now he is taking hostages to get Snowden? If I were Snowden, I would choose death, they will torture him and destroy his manhood.
If this is true, it is worthy of Nazi Germany. God help all those fool Americans who turn on US media and are fed trash like this: I will do a scan for you.
CNN: The Lead with Jack Tapper: HLN: still carrying on about that dead child left in a car seat too long, CNN!: Google business meetings with Apple; Fusion: He is interviewing a dog……I’m not kidding, how stupid can you get: OAN, Interviewing Israel member, FOX: Vietnam Vet being interviewed, Fox news: World Cup, MSNBC: Snowden wants to extends his stay in Russia. CNBC: $100 billion paid to Medicare improperly,: CNBCW: The Kentucky Derby, trash upon trash.
Is this the nation you want to live in?
    Not me.

  2. Besides stepping off the vehicle of life, I am waiting to see what Putin does, he is brilliant, and ought to turn this to his benefit. I think this was a very stupid move.
I have been saying for months that the Eurozone is essential to maintaining the US dollar. Without European support, the dollar will collapse, of this I am certain. So far, Obama has insulted Germany (who leads the Eurozone) and France, who has been a friend of the US since the American Revolution. Both of these countries are very important in the 17 country Eurozone, they can easily sway other nations their way.
It is like our leaders are trying to make these nations turn on us…..it is sick. I find it very difficult to understand. Since when did carrying a big stick be the key act of US diplomacy? There is much more to diplomacy than empty threats. Have all the statesmen died off?
Since when did the US become a nation that kidnaps the children or wives of state leaders to get their own way? Why are we sinking so fast? I am just appalled. I really think it is time for me to step off……this is a world I do not understand or wish to belong to……..the world has been going crazy since 1789……and the madness is now complete. That is the only answer I can find.
The mindless (not the meek) have inherited the earth.
I don’t belong here any longer.
This is so sick, so 3rd world nation that I cannot bear to see it any longer. When did we lose our dignity, decency and honor? The great men who established this nation would be horrified to see what has become of their great plan……man is indeed unable to govern himself, he is too lazy and indolent to have that honor.
But, if you look at the original Bill of Right, you had to be a landowner, taxpayer and financial contributor in order to vote. Those without land or industry were not allowed to vote. It was a republic, not a BS democracy. Women were not allowed to vote, it was expected decent men would take care of them.
Today’s so-called constitution bears little resemblance to the original document. Perhaps that is why we have gone mad.

  3. Of course, Putin will refuse. It will be interesting to see who he grabs in retaliation. Obama cannot control Russia and China.

The dollar is an issue with all the inquisitions going on

  4. I’m not sure Putin will grab anyone in reaction, that would take him down to the same level. I think he will do something else…….and win the acclaim of the rest of the world by doing so. Right now, he has more respect and credibility than the US, he isn’t going to violate it by grabbing someone off the street. He will do something else……I am not sure what.
