EU bans poultry imports from Israel-occupied West Bank

EU bans poultry imports from Israel-occupied West Bank (RT, May 24, 2014):

Chicken and eggs from the occupied West Bank and the annexed east Jerusalem will no longer be seen on European plates, the EU has ruled, reportedly citing gaps in public health standards between the two Jewish zones and the state.

  1. What are the actual reasons?
If it is safety, I understand.
I won’t eat chicken at all any longer, they are fed poisoned feed from excessively high radioactive content.
I bought a beautiful melon. Brought it home. It smelled and looked perfect. I tasted it, it was bitter, and tasted like something I have never eaten before, I threw it away…..I know it has to do with radioactive poisons from Fukushima.
