  1. He raised interest rates this morning to 7.5%. Money is pouring into Russia as Russians living abroad are concerned US might try confiscating their money, so they are moving it home in droves. The higher interest rate is also attractive.
Putin allowed the Russian central bank to fail last week, a very smart move. A pity the US didn’t do the same to the greedy gut banks in the US in 2007. Had they done so, we would not be facing currency collapse now.
Putin is saving his currency from any ruin. It has lost some value, but as money pours back in, it will strengthen. Pity I cannot say the same for the US dollar.
Kudos to Putin. Wish we had such smart people in charge here……..we just have corrupt whores who belong to greedy guts who are out to grab all they can.

  2. Meanwhile, US interest rates continue to climb. The US is desperate for cash, all the money is leaving. When the terrible real estate numbers came in, the market didn’t respond because the few investors left are shorting the market, so as the market loses, they make money……..we are really screwed. If they don’t change the laws to protect our system, it won’t exist.
