13-Year-Old Hit With Felony Charges After Throwing Snowball At Cop

With Great Power Comes The Thinnest Skin: 13-Year-Old Hit With Felony Charges After Throwing Snowball At Cop (Techdirt, Feb 25, 2014):

Considering the type of people cops interact with the most, you’d think law enforcement officers be the most broad-shouldered of individuals, easily shrugging off the various slights and indignities they’re subjected to on a daily basis. You’d think that, but you’d be wrong.

According to police, a 13-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile with felony aggravated battery against a police officer Wednesday after he hit the officer in the arm with a snowball while the officer was parked in his vehicle in the 4900 block of West Congress Parkway about 3:20 p.m.

Germany Has ‘Greatest Inequality In Eurozone’

The German reunification happened in 1990 between the poor German Democratic Republic (GDR/East Germany = Communism = all are equal [poor], while some are more equal [rich officials, etc.]) and the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG/West Germany) one of the richest countries in the world (at that time).

And in 2014 there is still inequality … imagine that!!!

What a BS report.

However, Germany is run into the ground by its own government and its central bank (Axel Weber for example dished out 138 billion in credit to other EU countries that will never be able to pay it back, leaving the German taxpayer on the hook.) …

… and not to forget the greatest enemies of all countries in the EU:

EU officials, the ECB, the IMF and the elitists who orchestrated the entire financial crisis, the biggest ‘bank robbery’ in world history, with the banks doing the robbing and the comlicit governments bailing out criminal banksters & complete and utter failure.

And thanks to all those criminals (incl. greedy corporations) more and more children in Germany do not even get one warm meal a day.

This is happening in every country around the globe that is run or targeted (like Libya & Syria) by the elitists.

The greatest financial collapse in world history is coming and it will also wipe out and destroy the rich (as intended by the power elite).

Germany has ‘greatest inequality in eurozone’ (The Local, Feb 27, 2014):

The distribution of wealth in Germany is the most unequal in the eurozone, a report released on Thursday revealed. Large differences remain between men and women and east and west. The report, from The German Institute for Economic Research and the centre-left Hans-Böckler Foundation, found that living in the former West Germany meant you were more than twice as rich than in the East, with average wealth of €94,000 compared to €41,000.

This disparity is mainly due to the difference in house prices in the two regions, the study said.

It calculated personal wealth by adding up savings, property, insurance and jewellery, but did not include the value of cars or cash.

Gender also played a significant role in wealth distribution, with the average man €27,000 wealthier than the average woman.

Researchers found that the distribution of wealth in Germany was, along with Austria, the worst among all eurozone countries.

Germany-inequality-map

Germany has consistently received a rating of 0.78 on the Gini co-efficient, well above the majority of European countries.

Greenpeace Co-Founder Questions Manmade Global Warming (Video)

FYI …

… and for your disinformation.

YouTube Added: Jan 23, 2011

Description:

Patrick Moore, co-founder of the environmental organization Greenpeace, isn’t too hot about global warming. Appearing on Fox Business Network with Stuart Varney on Thursday, he said global warming is a “natural phenomenon,” there’s no proof of man-made global warming, and suggested that “alarmism” is driving politicians to create bad environmental policies. He also said he’s not More..the only environmentalist that believes like him:

Moore is the author of the book, “Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist,” in which he exposes the green movement and explains why he left the organization.

While talking with Varney, he explained that departure was in part due to the group’s “extremist positions” and it being hijacked by political and social causes as well as the left.

California Water Shortage: The Game Changer That Will Trigger The Food Crisis

California Water Shortage – The Game Changer That Will Trigger the Food Crisis (Waking Times, Feb 26, 2014):

For What It’s Worth…

(I live in the North Counties of Northern California and manage a small Biodynamic farm forgoing a previous existence as a research analyst on Wall Street and owner of a small investment boutique firm for over two decades.)

Farmers throughout California are dramatically cutting way back on how much food they will grow this year. We know this because initial bulk seed orders are way down as the seed ordering season hits it peak. Just released news about severe water cuts by the Federal government to California farmlands will mean further cuts to their planting schedules.

Largest, Longest And Most Meticulous Study Of Mammography Ever Done Finds NO Benefit

Largest, Longest Study on Mammograms Again Finds No Benefit (Dr. Mercola, Feb 26, 2014):

It appears once again, major industry defenders will remain in complete denial and do anything possible to put profits before people.

An annual mammogram is the conventional go-to “prevention” strategy for breast cancer. But researchers increasingly agree that mammography is ineffective at best and harmful at worst.

Unfortunately, breast cancer is big business, and mammography is one of its primary profit centers. This is why the industry is fighting tooth and nail to keep it, even if it means ignoring the truth.

Several studies over the past few years have concluded that mammograms do not save lives, and may actually harm more women than they help, courtesy of false positives, overtreatment, and radiation-induced cancers.

The latest study to reach this conclusion is also one of the longest and largest. As reported by the New York Times:1

Ukraine Warns Moscow Against Russian Military Movements In Crimea

Ukraine warns Moscow against Russian military movements in Crimea (Reuters, Feb 27, 2014):

Ukraine said on Thursday it would regard any movements by Russian military in Crimea outside the Russian Black Sea fleet’s base in Sevastopol as an act of aggression.

Acting President Oleksander Turchinov issued the warning in the national parliament after armed men seized the regional government and parliament buildings in Crimea, where some ethnic Russians want the region to join the Russian Federation.

Turchinov, who is also the head of Ukraine’s armed forces, appealed for Moscow to adhere to the rules of an agreement which allows Russia’s Black Sea fleet to be based in Sevastopol until 2042.

“I am appealing to the military leadership of the Russian Black Sea fleet … Any military movements, the more so if they are with weapons, beyond the boundaries of this territory (the base) will be seen by us as military aggression,” he declared.

It was not immediately known who was occupying the buildings in the regional capital Simferopol and they issued no demands, but witnesses said they spoke Russian and appeared to be ethnic Russian separatists.

Interfax news agency quoted a witness as saying there were about 60 people inside and they had many weapons. It said no one had been hurt when the buildings were seized in the early hours by Russian speakers in uniforms without designating marks.

Obama Asks Court To Make NSA Database Even Bigger

Obama Asks Court To Make NSA Database Even Bigger (ZeroHedge, Feb 26, 2014):

When a hypertotalitarian banana republic takes another turn for the gigasurreal, even Elon Musk is speechless.

In the most glaring example of how farcical idiocy has become the new normal, we will remind readers (especially those who do not follow us on twitter), of the following blurb from last night:

Sure enough, this attempt at comedy has just failed once more, as less than 24 hours later, it describes an increasingly surreal reality. Just out from the WSJ:

The Obama administration has asked a special court for approval to hold onto National Security Agency phone records for a longer period–an unintended consequence of lawsuits seeking to stop the phone-surveillance program.

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the Justice Department was considering such a move, which would end up expanding the controversial phone records database by not deleting older call records.

California: Obama Adresses Drought Emergency Then Plays Some Of The State’s Water-Guzzling Desert Golf Courses

obama-golf

Obama Plays Water-Guzzling Desert Golf Courses Amid California Drought (TIME, Feb 17, 2014):

After preaching shared sacrifice to assuage the California water shortage, Obama has played some of the country’s thirstiest golf courses

President Barack Obama traveled to California on Friday to highlight the state’s drought emergency at two events near Fresno, calling for shared sacrifice to help manage the state’s worst water shortage in decades. He then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the hospitality of some of the state’s top water hogs: desert golf courses.

Vacationing with DVDs of his favorite television shows and multiple golf outings with his buddies, the duffer in chief played at two of the most exclusive courses in the Palm Springs area. On Saturday, Obama played at the Sunnylands estate, built by the late billionaire Walter Annenberg, which features a nine-hole course that is played like 18 holes. The following day he golfed at billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison’s 19-hole Porcupine Creek. On Presidents’ Day, Obama hit the links at Sunnylands once again.

The 124 golf courses in the Coachella Valley consume roughly 17% of all water there, and one-quarter of the water pumped out of the region’s at-risk groundwater aquifer, according to the Coachella Valley Water District. Statewide, roughly 1% of water goes to keep golf courses green. Each of the 124 Coachella Valley courses, on average, uses nearly 1 million gallons (3.8 million L) a day because of the hot and dry climate, three to four times more water per day than the average American golf course.

NOT The Onion: Fabrice ‘Fabulous Fab’ Tourre To Teach Economics Class At University Of Chicago

Fabrice “Fabulous Fab” Tourre to Teach Economics Class at University of Chicago (Liberty Blitzkrieg, Feb 26, 2014):

Just in case you thought for a second that the sorry discipline we call economics couldn’t stoop any further into the gutter of academic idiocy and irrelevance, think again. It’s now being reported that ex-Goldman Sachs trader Fabrice “Fabulous Fab” Tourre (recently convicted on six counts of securities fraud) will be teaching an honors economics class at the “prestigious” University of Chicago.

There’s nothing like an esteemed University setting the already culturally accepted example that ethics are for suckers. Stealing, cheating and corruption are the values most exalted in today’s world. It doesn’t matter how you achieve your wealth, as long as you attain it. After all, it’s not as if you’ll ever get in trouble for it as long as you work for a “Too Big to Jail” bank.

From the UK’s Telegraph:

Fabrice Tourre, the former Goldman Sachs trader convicted on six counts of securities fraud six months ago, will teach an honours class in economics at the University of Chicago this spring.

“We are investigating the willpower of Sardinians of allowing Italy to sell Sardinia to Switzerland, to repay part of the public debt and restart the national economy,” the group description reads.

Harvard Supercomputer ‘Abused’ To Mine Dogecoin

Harvard Supercomputer “Abused” To Mine Dogecoin (ZeroHedge, Feb 26, 2014):

Harvard’s Research Computing department’s 14,000-core supercomputer “Odyssey” has been moonlighting as a virtual currency miner. As The Register reports, a Harvard student has had their access credentials revoked after the discovery that the Odyssey cluster had been scheduled for use in a Dogecoin mining operation. Harvard is not happy: “Any participation in ‘Klondike’ style digital mining operations or contests for profit requiring Harvard owned assets to examine digital currency key strength and length are strictly prohibited for fairly obvious reasons.”

That someone would seek to employ a supercomputer cluster in a mining operation is hardly a surprise, given the current market for Bitcoin and the various altcoin formats.

The High Price of Delaying the Default

Politician kicking the can down the road

The High Price of Delaying the Default (Ludwig von Mises Institute, Feb 26, 2014):

Credit is a wonderful tool that can help advance the division of labor, thereby increasing productivity and prosperity. The granting of credit enables savers to spread their income over time, as they prefer. By taking out loans, investors can implement productive spending plans that they would be unable to afford using their own resources.

The economically beneficial effects of credit can only come about, however, if the underlying credit and monetary system is solidly based on free-market principles. And here is a major problem for today’s economies: the prevailing credit and monetary regime is irreconcilable with the free market system.

Bloggers Beware; Government-Criticizing Chinese Newspaper Editor Hacked With Cleaver (ZeroHedge, Feb 26, 2014):

Kevin Lau, the 49-year-old former editor of the respected Ming Pao newspaper (who was unexpectedly replaced last month by journalist with no experience) following his reporting on human rights abuses in China is in critical condition after being attacked with a meat-cleaver. As The Daily Mail reports, slashed three times by a man in a crash helmet in a residential neighbourhood who then fled on a motorbike, police said. His sudden dismissal sparked protests across the city over freedom of the press as the move raised fears among journalists that the newspaper’s owners were moving to curb aggressive reporting on human rights and corruption in China. It appears, given this attack, they were right.

Unbelievable … 55-Year Old Widow Fights Against The North Korean Government

Unbelievable. 55-year old widow fights against the North Korean government (Sovereign Man, Feb 25, 2014):

Li Mi-Yung just wanted to be free.

This 55-year old widow in North Korea had spent the last 18-months building up an off-grid residential homestead. She was, for the most part, fully independent.

She collected rain as a source of water. She had her own waste disposal. She generated her own electricity from the sun.

Sounds pretty admirable, right? Especially in a place where so few people are independent.
